We could also port a few of the more successful interactives with us too. The only thing I want to discuss is the identity of the Wiki User Wiki, as while it's practical I think perhaps a new identity could serve us well, as well as maybe finding a way to better advertise ourselves to generate a new consistent flow of traffic either here or there.

Technically we don't have to port the original riffed stuff over, but it loses its lustre if we don't have proof to show for it. Though, to be fair, I never saw the original versions of any of the movies they showed on MST3K so it's not like it isn't a weird concept, but it kind of loses novelty.

index w is a part of clamburger.org, most likely a part that didn't make it through when Sam upgraded the servers, but we still have to path through to make edits, and if you try and edit a certain way it winds up at the beginning of the index which no longer exists, causing an error

I think I got the problem! It's links. I looked this up, and it's apparently something to do with an anti-spam filter. Remember when we had all those bots that kept making pages with crap on them? Well basically, I think this filter detects how many links on one page, and goes from there.

WHY CAUSE I LIKE TO HARVEST MY CROPS -pmelon demon43y

Rose Lalonde and Kanaya Maryam, two extraordinary detectives also madly in love with each other are called upon by their boss, "J. Whedon" to investigate a shady organization, known as the "United Association of Despair", headed by the illusive "Ramona Day", the beautiful female chairman of the organization.

They find that the organization is a front for a team of legendary assassins who fight among each other to the death for the prize of ultimate fame and fortune and the chance to join Ms. Day as the leaders of the organization, who also have other ulterior motives at hand. Although many people have tried, the only one who has succeeded in rising to the top is a young otaku male from Canada known as "Scotty Touchdown", a former guitar player turned assassin.

As Rose and Kanaya investigate more, they are spotted and are forced to join the organization on pain of death. Being confident in their own fighting skills, the two agree, while at the same time devising a plan to get out of there. While in the holding cells (which are like ordinary hotel rooms), the contestant assassins are advised to sabotage the competition as much as they can, while at the same time avoiding being caught on pain of "execution".

As they try to figure a way out before they're randomly selected by the counter machine, Rose and Kanaya realize that everyone in the holding cells are just like them. Prisoners who also got captured against their will. Several figures such as Naminé Kirigiri, and Byakuya Robotnik, among many others. As tensions rise, the people in the holding cells turn against each other, including Rose and Kanaya, as Kanaya believes that Rose is cheating on her with Naminé. More and more minor characters in the holding cells are sent to battle and are either slaughtered mercilessly or taken to the next level.

After the suicide of Equius Oogami, trying to protect the life of her best friend, Nepeta Asahina, they realize the manipulation that is going on, and they all decide to find a way out of there. After making up, everyone manages to burst out of the holding cells and make their way to the main office of Ramona Day.

As they think the coast is clear, they are confronted by Scotty Touchdown", along with his own specialized group of assassins, the "Seven-X-Psychos". A group fight scene happens, as the survivors are pitted against Scotty and the seven best assassins. Just as hope seems lost, the "Lost Assassin", Dr. Horrible appears and confronts Scotty directly, having a personal vendetta against him due to the fact that he sabotaged his chances to get with Ramona Day. As Dr. Horrible mercilessly pummels Scotty Touchdown, the other elite assassins are finally taken down by the group of survivors, leaving both Dr. Horrible and Scotty Touchdown left, in a brawl of emotions.

Their brawl is quickly stopped by the interference of Ramona Day, who tells them how pathetic they are for giving into their emotions before quickly dispatching them both with her own weapon. Looking upon the carnage, she looks at the survivors and congratulates them on the great job that they have done, offering them all places in her organization. As they all decline, she realizes that it really is the end for her, and instead of letting herself die by the hand of her enemies, impales herself on her laser katana in order to die by her own hand and force the entire game into a sick and twisted draw. Her last words are: "It's too late. Look outside, for the despair has finally begun."

As the group of survivors make their way outside, they find that through some horrible and twisted means, the world has been taken over by Despair, with the entire populace falling into anarchy and chaos. Thinking that hope is lost, they all go together to confront this cruel reality. But a shining glimmer of hope appears in the form of "Katawa Hearts", the symbol of all that is good and hopeful in the world. Rose and Kanaya join hands as they lead the survivors (now a resistance group against the forces of despair) towards Katawa Hearts, hoping to finally liberate the world of "Despair".

guys I have an idea for a group thing and need advice

other than that interactive that is
ANYWAYS the idea is, each 'episode', one of the users will write up the basic plot summary (nothing is in the same canon). they will also write up a list of characters, with short defining bios but leaving plenty of room for the player. we'll have to act out and write this story only using these characters, and the summary. there could MAYBE be a points thing but that would mean that the person who lists the characters would have to be a judge and that's unfair to them. Compare Wikipedia to us - Wikipedia is updated to the most recent Mediawiki(1.21), with a new layout and a few changes to UI, and we're still here at 1.14. If we could find a way to upgrade mediawiki to the most recent version that doesn't involve bothering Super Sam all hours of the day, that'd be golden. An updated look that resembles some of the other mediawiki sites sounds like a good idea to me, at least.

My idea:

We find writing communities, preferably laid-back ones, to advertise
We get an official WUW-staff email, which people can mail their account registration and we set up the account (IMPORTANT PART)
We remove some of the older, non-active moderators because screw those guys
We clean up some of the GUI and ETC
We clean up some of the..unsightly stuff. Like, to the quality of my old work type.

Well, our main source of new users came directly from the HRFWiki, and with IDC shutting it down, he's basically also shut down our biggest route of access to the rest of the internet. Basically, it's his fault. Lex 06:09, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

The reason being that the majority of the userbase were the people who migrated over because the wiki nixxed the Wiki User aspect of Homestar Runner. Even so, I'd disagree, in that the new user traffic(the ever-controversial fourth gen) came in the form of people who joined this site first, either through just finding it, or during the purge - either way, the fact that we're a separate entity technically shouldn't be holding us back, it's that we're stranded in the middle of the internet with little way to communicate to potential users and in need of a facelift, both internally and externally.

Main Page Overhaul

WITH THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA, we should overhaul the Main Page. I'll list some ideas below.

Remove FotF template: FotF is dead and obsolete.
Change Content around. Instead of labeling by genre, perhaps by universe. We can have the 'Wikihood Universe/WUWniverse', the 'Old Universe/Wiki City', and then 'Other/Multiverse'.
Nuke the WhosOnline template. No one uses it.
Change Wiki Stuff to actually be useful.
Streamline colors, maybe?
Eventually overhaul the rest of the Wiki.
