Opening Comments

{Open to the two (Namine & Noxigar) on a computer reading Sweet Sacrifice.}

NAMINE: So, you're telling me you trust Lex to write Katawa Hearts?

NOXIGAR: Why wouldn't I? His work's always been great.

NAMINE: I don't know if you could call this "great," Nox. You've called Bell Quest, JCMovies, and Aruseus Emails great, but they pretty much all fell short or just haven't aged well.

NOXIGAR: My work hasn't aged well either.

NAMINE: Yet, the people that hang out with you most tell you that Everything You Know Is Wrong happens to still be good.

NOXIGAR: Lex has also substantially upgraded his quality of writing since 2008, which can actually be said of all of us.

NAMINE: Have you made anything noteworthy after EYKIW? I mean, other than helping out with Wikihood and trying to tell a story through your riffs in RiffText.

NOXIGAR: I tried to write Unbridled Rage, which was supposed to be "Everything You Know Is Wrong 2.0." I tried to write something to help with Keith's Bellverse, but that never got finished. Occasionally, I try making a character like "Oiracul" only for said character to be taken out of my hands because I like collaborating with people and they don't appreciate awesome, Roundworldian names.

NAMINE: Still not helping, but I guess you try to do things?

NOXIGAR: Yeah, I wish I had been more active to make Mudkip Emails actually good.

NAMINE: I see. How about I get an Email Show? Y'know, the next time you have a lot of spare time?

NOXIGAR: Email shows stopped being great after 2010, in part due to there being a restriction on signing up to even join the Wiki User Wiki. There was also the fact we all became Chooms, but the original Chooms were effectively holier-than-thou to anyone they considered "beneath" them.

{Namine rolls her eyes.}

NAMINE: Let me guess, you riffed their works because they weren't being fair.

NOXIGAR: Exactly.

NAMINE: So, is it alright if I riff Sweet Sacrifice, then? I'd like to do it on my own, given I know with absolute certainty that it isn't good. I'm going to watch someone tell me it's not supposed to be good, in spite of it trying to be a spiritual successor to something that wasn't good in the first place (My Immortal).

NOXIGAR: That's okay, by me!

NAMINE: I'm not sure how Lex'll feel about this. I hope this doesn't sting too badly...

Sweet Sacrifice

$^$#@%@!!

  1. Chapter Nine - Marilyn Manson has been destroyed, but a new threat lingers on the horizon. Darth Vader is still running amok, and he brought his friend Loki along. Will Cadeus and the rest of the gang be able to stop this new evil threat?
NAMINE: I imagine future Chapters made by Lex will just be potshots at the Disney-Marvel-Lucas merger.

Closing Comments

{Namine finishes reading Sweet Sacrifice.}

NAMINE: {v-o} I was a tad bit disappointed that Sweet Sacrifice didn't finish, at the time of my having read it. Still, Lex managed to impress me with how well-written Chapter 8 was, compared to the preceding Chapters. I had wondered if Lex was writing with any inkling of sincerity, or if maybe Sweet Sacrifice was just his way of trying to emulate My Immortal in relation to Star Wars. I imagined he must've liked the series enough.

{Namine puts Sweet Sacrifice away, on a bookshelf next to other folders.}

NAMINE: {v-o} I'm not seeing what makes the Wiki User Wiki "bad." It's difficult to imagine that this place became as desolate as it did, but somehow it happens with websites. The Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki died forcibly by Its Dot Com's hand, but I don't see how The Wiki User Wiki can't be different.

{Namine sighs and goes back to checking up on Noxigar, who's asleep on a couch.}

NAMINE: {v-o} More space for ourselves, I guess.
