Most likely. JCM, I'm not sure you have a full grasp of what this is. Let me explain.

Every time your router connects to your ISP, it needs to be assigned an IP address. A while ago your router would have been assigned one and that would be it. Nowadays, however, space is limited, so ISPs usually have a bunch of 'em, and every time your router connects, it just assigns you a random one - no need to waste IPs on customers who aren't connected to the network.

So if you have a new IP address every day (probably when you shut down your computer or lose power or something like that), you have DHCP. End of story. The Mu 01:42, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay, JCM, I'm going to try to prevent edit wars and rifts by suggesting that instead of censoring swears, perhaps you could start a formal discussion. I'm aware that there is an unofficial one, but I doubt it will change much (if anything), and language in general is an issue with no solid answers on limits here, so instead of getting both parties angry by censoring, I suggest starting a discussion, with mod approval of course. Y'see, people are going to disagree with that. If you won't concede to come to a compromise, then nothing will be solved. We already did that, and look where it got us. People started using the "a", "d", and "h" words before 1.2 said they could, so I censored them and in return they made a discussion on the fanstuff guidelines talk page to let them use those words, and the rule was changed. Now everyone thinks they can say whatever they want now and if I continue censoring them, I'm afraid that they'll make a new 1.2 discussion and I don't feel like going through all that again, but I won't stop censoring them as long as 1.2 is as it is.
