one thing of note that i need to ask

Is, does Debonair D'Arque have any other living family members? Like, any heirs or descendants? Or at the very least, distant relatives that still carry on the D'Arque name? Lex 03:30, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't know. I'd like to think D'Arque should have a great-great-great grand nephew/grand niece or someone, though. Noxigar 03:34, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Well, Rosenberg does. I'm just curious about D'Arque. And yes, I agree. I agree a lot. Lex 03:39, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Debonair is the last person in the D'Arque family - He has relatives that don't carry the name, but DID claim parts of his will when he first died. His will called for his revival, which is where Droll comes into the picture - because this family hired him. They don't attempt to claim Townindale, however. They say it's because it still stands in the name of D'Arque(who they didn't think would actually be reanimated), but it's obvious that they didn't take it over because it's a shithole on the outside looking in. This is something I want to explore in season 2 - Droll does not get anything from D'Arque when he dies, so he literally becomes a hobo. D'Arque's extended family would come into the picture and try to exert their control on the town, but they aren't meant to be antagonistic, at least not in the normal sense. They'd basically be as "in-your-face" about it as Town Hall was in the first episode(which has only escalated so far because the gang wasn't very nice to D'Arque the first time they met). Oh, nice. I like that. Though funnily enough, it's actually kinda similar to the whole estate of Rosenberg as well. When Rosenberg dies, despite him naming Stephanie as the sole inheritor of his company and all of its finances, the whole thing will be voided by the interjection of Byzantium, who basically label themselves as the true inheritors due to the conditions of a shady contract that Rosenberg signed back in his glory days. Stephanie still becomes head of the company, due to the mercy of the Byzantium Corp (who are just maintaining a friendly face for the time being), but with no actual power like she was supposed to have. Basically becoming a puppet leader for the organization that runs the company themselves. Rosenberg's closest relative who does carry his name but at the same time has built his own small fortune (with strings attached, just like his dear great uncle), basically rejects the legacy anyhow.
Considering how we can make these two things work, it'll be rather amusing to see both Townindale and Midway freed from the oppressive grip of the ones formerly in charge, only to slip back into the hands of another entity that's essentially just as bad themselves. Considering Byzantium's overlooming presence, I think it would be pretty funny to have them peck at the D'Arque extended family, only to realize that they're not budging. Not making a whole storyline out of that though, but just as a funny little sidenote. Lex 03:53, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Funny sidenotes are worth writing about, at least. Noxigar 03:55, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
