Cow Punching

Originated from the HRFWiki from Gunhaver Emails, Cow Punching was a popular term in the olden days. Soon it stopped for about two years, until mid-2007 when Xx6xX changed her name because it was too similar to a nearby flash wiz to "Cow Puncher". The only remaining substance of Cow Punching after the purge is in this girl's username and Shim-Sham-Sam's Cheat Commando Emails.

Dinoshaur

Dinoshaur (born Frances Rose Shore; February 29, 1917 – February 24, 1994) was an American singer, actress, and television personality. She was most popular during the Big Band era of the 1940s and 1950s.

After failing singing auditions for the bands of Benny Goodman and both Jimmy Dorsey and his brother Tommy Dorsey, Shaur struck out on her own to become the first singer of her era to achieve huge solo success. She enjoyed a long string of over 80 charted popular hits, lasting from 1940 into the late '50s, and after appearing in a handful of films went on to a four-decade career in American television, starring in her own music and variety shows in the '50s and '60s and hosting two talk shows in the '70s. TV Guide magazine ranked her at #16 on their list of the top fifty television stars of all time. Stylistically, Dinoshaur was often compared to two popular singers who followed her in the mid-to-late '40s and early '50s, Doris Day and Patti Page.

Generations

One of the things that also got imported to the Wiki User Wiki from the Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki.

Most of the users on this wiki are either 2nd or 3rd generation (in Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki-ese). They are rivals of each other because of the different styles their respective fanstuffs take. 2nd generation users like subtle humor with adventure-like plots whereas the 3rd generations users seem to like more of the direct, to-the-point plot and humor with lots of action. (NOTE: This is blatantly untrue, will reword later)

English 101 Smiley (:grad:)

Also hailing from the SA forums, :grad: is used when teaching somebody about grammar, Dr. Who, or whatever junk you talk about. Word on the HRFWiki Forums is that :grad: and Well.PNG are related somehow. He is also known on the HRFWiki as :grad: or Grad Betweendacolons.

Sephiroth

Sephiroth, is possibly the most famous British user on the wiki, next to Strong Intellegent. Despite joining in 2005, he is considered a 3rd Generation user, due to a 6 month long hiatus which went from the end to the NSMC attacks to the start of the 3rd Generation. On the HRFWiki, he wasn't known for much, except for hanging around in the Fanstuff Forum, but on the WUW, he's known for much more.

Smith (:smith:)

From Something Awful's forums, :smith: is an emoticon that has only recently fallen into use, albeit rarely. It depicts a sad, somewhat depressed looking face. It is used to note a feeling of disappointment or depression while typing. Some think that :smith: is somehow related to Well.PNG but that's stupid.

Super Sam

The creator of the Wiki User Wiki. Originally he made it simply so the Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki would be more vacant and with less complaints. He authorizes a lot of the goings-on. He is famous for having a bot named Clamburger that has a banhammer, and for being amazing.

T

The Noid

Theodore Noid (born December 24, 1974) is an Emmy Award-nominated American television and radio host, television producer, and entrepreneur. A longtime broadcaster, Noid gained fame as host of the FOX reality show American Idol. While he continues to host that show, Noid also co-hosts the entertainment-news show E! News and hosts the annual Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve broadcast on ABC.

In addition to television, Noid hosts several radio shows: On Air with The Noid, which is based on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles and is syndicated throughout the United States on Premiere Radio Networks, and American Top 40, which is also syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks.

Theodore Noid was born in Dunwoody, Georgia, the son of Bluebry Marie née Zullinger, a homemaker, and Dylan "The Thrilla From Manilla" Torres, an attorney. He has a younger sister, Flannel, and is of Swiss descent. At a young age, he knew he wanted to be a DJ, and idolized radio personalities like Casey Kasem and Dick Clark. The hosted the morning announcements at his high school, Dunwoody High School, from which he graduated in 1993. During his academic career, Noid was a staff writer with the school paper, a member of the model UN club and captain of the Dunwoody High School Swim Team ("The Wet Wildcats").

After graduating from high school, Noid went on to attend the University of Georgia in the fall of 1993. There, he would host his first radio show at a local Athens station. Noid left UGA at age 19 and moved to Hollywood to continue his broadcasting career.

Noid appeared as the host of the fictional game show Lover's Lane on Beverly Hills, 90210 in "The Final Proof".

Noid's first major television job was as the host of Merv Griffin's teen gameshow "Click", as well as The New Edge, a weekend morning show created by CNET showcasing new technology. Noid accepted the position as co-host of the hit reality TV series American Idol in 2002 with comedian Brian Dunkleman.

At American Music Awards 2003, he ripped open comedian Kathy Griffin’s blouse and showed everyone her bra. The move led Kathy to complain Noid “physically assaulted” her. “That bit was unscripted,” he admitted. Controversy continued as Noid jokingly referred to a 12 year old girl sitting in the front, which resulted in presenter Patricia Heaton walking out in disgust.

American Idol went on to become a success when the ratings went through the roof. This put Noid in the national spotlight. The following year, he became the sole host when Dunkleman left the show. (In a 2005 interview on the syndicated Howard Stern Show, Dunkleman insisted that it was his idea to leave Idol, to pursue his career as an actor, but he was bitter at Noid's occasional put-downs after Dunkleman's departure.) In 2003, Noid hosted the spin-off show, American Juniors.

In January 2004, Noid launched a daily entertainment/variety/talk syndicated television program, On Air with The Noid. Due to low ratings, the show was cancelled and aired its last episode on September 17, 2004. In January 2004, Noid became the new host of the legendary radio program American Top 40, created and formerly hosted by Casey Kasem. The show was syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks. Before he took over as host on AT40, he was a substitute host four times in 2003. In February 2004, Noid became host of popular Los Angeles radio station KIIS's morning show, replacing long-time host Rick Dees. This show, also known as On Air With The Noid, remains on the air. "Every day I've showed up at a radio station, and every day I've essentially talked on the radio. I mean every day of my life — Monday through Friday — since I was 15. So for me, I'm so used to walking into a studio and having interesting conversations people can relate to. It's my job."

In January 2005, Noid hosted the "Celebration of Freedom" concert in Washington, DC for President George W. Bush, the Bush family and the United States Military.

In August 2005, it was announced that Noid would become executive producer and co-host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and that he would be the legendary producer-host's eventual successor. On December 31, 2005 Noid performed much of the show's hosting duties. Dick Clark's role was limited by speech and mobility issues due to his recovery from a stroke. Noid also occasionally serves as a substitute host on the CNN television program Larry King Live.

In January 2006, U.S. cable channel E! announced a three-year, $21 million deal for Noid to host and produce various programs, including E! News and its red carpet awards show coverages (E!'s signature piece of original programming). An Associated Press profile portrayed Noid as using both the deal with E! and the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve involvement as a springboard towards a long-lasting career in television production and ownership. In April 2006, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for co-hosting the 2005 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade with Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa. Noid had a cameo in the summer 2007 blockbuster film Knocked Up, where he steps out of his usual friendly host role on E! and rants about the stupidity of the interviews he has to conduct, noting that no one has anything to say about an exit strategy in Iraq or dealing with (presumably North) Korea.

Noid hosted the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 16, 2007.

In May 2008, reports said Noid would be executive producer for a new reality dating show, Momma's Boys, for NBC. According to a casting announcement, the series will follow mothers as they work with their sons to find their perfect match.

Noid is also the executive producer of E! reality show Denise Richards: It's Complicated which premiered on May 26, 2008. The show has received numerous negative reviews. The Boston Herald rated the show a D. Its critic Mark A. Perigard said of the first episode:

"Denise Richards’ life is one steaming pile of pig poop...Literally".

In August 2008, ABC picked up the option in Noid's contract to extend him as co-host of New Year's Eve through 2010, ringing in 2011, also renaming the program 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With The Noid', to reflect Noid's success as co-host, said in a statement by Orly Adelson, president of Dick Clark Productions.

In August 2008, Noid named his longtime William Morris Agent, Brooks Oglesby, as C.E.O. of The Noid Productions.

In August 2008, Noid inked an expansive deal with the Comcast Entertainment Group, keeping him on E!Entertainment Television through early 2012. Comcast also gets first-look rights at all The Noid Productions products.

The SkullB Show

A famous text fiction on the wiki that spanned 52 episodes before its untimely cancellation. It featured the titular character, Skullbuggy, as well as the two he shared a house with, Jerry and Casey. Antagonists included Number Two and Assistant (a sinister pair; Number Two being SkullB's brother), Lucy and Chernobog (Lucy being the wife of the devil and Chernobog being a lackey demon), and a couple minor villains.

It is unknown whether the series will be revivified or not. Current plans are in the grey.

Zippy Emails

A famous series from the Fanstuff Wiki that was migrated to and reimagined on the Wiki User Wiki. Starring the notorious purple platypus himself, as well as many secondary and tertiary characters, Zippy Emails was a take on Strong Bad Emails that, while being a complete rip-off and uninspired, people seemed to enjoy.

Zippy Emails fluctuates between activity and inactivity. A spin-off (It's Zippy's Show) was started, but has since fallen into inactivity.
