Chat

CHWOKA: Um...

>examine weapons

?

OLD MAN: Ah! Those weapons! They were taken from dead heroes.

{Conchris runs in}

CONCHRIS: Hey Old Man! Did I hear you say that these weapons are from...

OLD MAN: SHUSH! For goodness sakes, I didn't say that!

CONCHRIS: Whatever. May I get a weapon?

OLD MAN: CHOOSE!

There are 5 types of weapons on the table, choosing it may affect your class, choose wisely:
Sword OR Boxing Gloves - Challenger
Bow w/ Infinite Arrows - Archer
Gun w/ Infinite Bullets - Gunner
Book of Spells - Wizard-Type Guy
A wallet - Citizen
Box w/ Infinite Bombs - Jester

CONCHRIS: What is a wallet?

OLD MAN: It lets you be a Citizen, a citizen has all around stats.

{Conchris picks up the gun}

OLD MAN: Ah! A gunner bes you, eh?

CONCHRIS: Yeah.

OLD MAN: Come to the Training fields. They'll be open now.

Conchris has unlocked a new area: Training Fields.

Training Fields is now open to everyone.

OLD MAN: So long! And farewell. I hope you'll die.

CONCHRIS: What did you just say?!

OLD MAN: Nothing!

CHWOKA: >get spell book

{Old man hands Chwoka the spell book}

OLD MAN: A wizard-type guy is you, yes?

CHWOKA: >thank old man

OLD MAN: I accept your thanks. >see chwoka off

CHWOKA: >talk to Old Man about level 2 slot

OLD MAN: That level 2 slot is for a skill. I can teach you it.

CHWOKA gains:

  • Ice Spear
  • 10 MP to use
  • Deals Ice damage.

CONCHRIS: Hey Old Man! Gimme a level 2 skill.

OLD MAN: Okay then!

CONCHRIS gains:

  • Fire Shot
  • 5 MP to use.
  • Deals fire damage, 25% chance of burning.

{Chaos walks into the area.}

CHAOS: Excuse me sir, but I'd like to become a Brand Master.

OLD MAN: {gasps} Umm... Okay. Which two classes will you choose?

CHAOS: Gunner and challenger, please! {Picks up the gun and the sword}

OLD MAN: Right, so you are now a Gunning Swordsman. You can choose ONE class you can master in which you learn their starter skill. Which will it be? The Gunner? Or the Challenger?

CHAOS: I'll take Challenger as the master and Gunner as the starter skill.

OLD MAN: I suppose that could be sufficed. You are now a master of Challenger when you hit level 2. Your level 1 skill will automatically be a Gunner Skill when you complete training. Now be off and uh... {flips through cue cards} stab... stuff?

{Chaos repeatedly stabs a tree.}

OLD MAN: These weapons are enchanted to change the maximum damage it can do depending on your class selected for the level. Also, you're still considered a Hero until you level up, in which case your HP and MP will be changed accordingly.

{The tree falls over}

OLD MAN: Dagnabbit! Now I have to grow another one now! Oh well, I'll see you off. (To pass "training", you must go to the training area and kill the training enemy in a battle.)

{Chaos hops in, and a triumphant fanfare plays.}

CHAOS: So, can I have my level 2 skill?

OLD MAN: GACK! {clutches heart} You nearly scared me to death with that drama! Sure, have your Challenger skill...

Chaos learnt Berserk!

  • MP to use: 10
  • When used, damage dealt is doubled but after the berserk ends, the user will be unable to attack for one turn.

RAIKU: {picks up gun}

OLD MAN: You picked up a gun. You're a gunner, yes? Now hop along to the training field so I can get some peace. {pushes Raiku out} Maybe now I can...

{Fenix walks in and sees the sword on the table}

FENIX: Ooh, shiny! {his eyes shift back and forth, and he reaches out for it...}

{Raiku puts down the gun and picks up a sword and a cane. He is a brand master.}

{The old man slaps Fenix's hand, but then suddenly realises what he was doing and hands Fenix the sword}

OLD MAN: A challenger is you, yes? Gee, it's been a while since I last seen a new face...

FENIX: Yes, a challenger is I! Now to...do...whatever...I need to...do. Umm...Anything need saving in this world? The structural integrity of the universe perchance? Because I'm good at saving that.

OLD MAN: Well, we do need saving from the evil clutches of Sirhcnoc, who rules most of the land with a steel fist. An iron fist just wasn't doing the job. But there is a slight chance that he could break the integrity of the universe and whatnot because I think that's what all the cool villains do nowadays. Now hurry along. You have dragons to save and princesses to slay! No wait... it should be the other way round.

FENIX: Agreed! Now, onward to adventure!!! {runs off}

RAIKU: Can I have my illusionist skill?

OLD MAN: I guess...

Raiku learns 'Magic Box'!

Magic Box description:

Summon a magic box out of nowhere and cut your enemy in two, literally! Deals up to 60 damage and costs 3 MP to use. Upgrades for this skill specialises in damage and status effects (alternating each skill level).

LEMON: Level two move, please.

OLD MAN: Mumble Mumble.

Lemon learns 'Bag of Wind!

Bag of Wind description:

Summon up a bag of wind and it would possibly blow the enemy away, dealing intense amounts of damage. However, to make the wind hurt more, you need to take damage. Stacks with a later skill 'The Last Laugh'. - Costs 1 to 5 MP to use (depending on how much damage is taken). Upgrades for this skill specialises in more damage for less damage being taken but with a higher MP cost.

FENIX: Hey, Old Man! I beat the training enemy, now gimme my skillzorz!

OLD MAN: If you insist...

Fenix learns 'Reckless Strike'!

Reckless Strike description:

Strike your enemy/ies with little to no abandon! Flail widly with your chosen weapon and proceed to lay the beat down on anyone/anything your weapon touches. It has a low accuracy rate (hits only 25% of the time) but when it does hit, it strikes down hard (any attacks (if they hit) will be treated as Critical Hits). Upgrades for this skill specialises in (barely) improving accuracy and damage, but with a higher MP cost to boot.

LEMON: May I have a box of infinite bombs? At this moment I am battling King Slime.

OLD MAN: Sure. {tosses Lemon the box of bombs}
