1-Up Emails/sightings

1-Up Emails, though not nearly as popular or as well-written as Gunhaver Emails or Tampo Emails were, had it's own fair share of references here and there from other members of the Homestar Runner fan community back in the day. As such, below is an archive of all the instances 1-Up Email references have appeared elsewhere. Keep in mind, however, that an appearance by 1-Up does not count as a sighting. It's only a sighting if it references some aspect of the 1-Up Emails show.

OCE The Unguraits

Other Character Email The Unguraits/1-Up Crossover

• Doomsday - Ends the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Parental Apocalypse - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Irritating - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Shoe - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• #1 - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Dreamail - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Paradox - Continues the 1-Up/Ungurait email crossover.
• Names - This email starts the crossover and features Red Laser.

OCE Gunhaver

Other Character Email Gunhaver/1-Up Crossover

• Health - At the end of the email, it shows 1-Up being frightened by Gunhaver's computer, Alpha Stan.
• Awesome - This may not feature 1-Up, but it has Steve and introduces Callum who are both characters of the creator of 1-Up emails.
• Killing - At the beggining of this one, there is a sequence taken straight from one of 1-Up's emails during Season 2. It also has Gunhaver attempting to kill 1-Up.
• Carteen - 1-Up makes an appereance in this email, also continuing the crossover.
• Unguraits 2 - This is the first Gunhaver email to start the crossover. In this email, 1-Up asks about news.

OCE Strong Sad

• Roxy Dawson - Roxy Dawson explains to Strong Sad why his email show is unpopular, one of the reasons why is because of his bad openings. Then Roxy shows Strong Sad some "good openings", like one of Gunhaver Email's openings and then one from 1-Up Emails (ripped directly from show). Then Roxy Dawson says that 1-Up and Gunhaver emails got Fanstuff of the Week awards for a reason. It also parodies the "time travel emails" that Mitchell would send to a whole bunch of Other Character Email shows.

OCE Stinkoman

• College - Stinkoman is sent into an alternate universe, explaining his absence during the first half of Season 2.

OCE Tampo

• Charbarg - Sticklyman Jr. appears in this email. Though Joshua explicitly states it is not the same Sticklyman Jr. from 1-Up Emails. Merely inspired by him.
• Rock Opera - There is a 1-Up Email reference in here, as well as several other email shows.
• Death - 1-Up emails second season plot is referenced in the easter egg. The one about zombies.
• Saargtsson - 1-Up is finnaly on the good side again, thanks to Stinkoman.
• Training - Another Tampo email that shows 1-Up joining the dark side in training.
• Dark Side - 1-Up is being persuaded to join the "dark side" by Tampo. A pretty amusing email. Worth a re-read.
• Attacked - Tampo, Brody and Stlunko capture 1-Up, kickstarting a mini-crossover between the two shows.

Mystery Fanstuff Theater 3000

• Some Early 1-Up Emails - I specifically asked the creators of Mystery Fanstuff Theater 3000 if they would riff on my earliest 1-Up Emails, unfortunately the first fifty were missing. But, this has got to be my favorite thing to come out of 1-Up Emails. Every second of their riffing is just plain beautiful. Go read.
