My idea for Oiracul that is semi-difficult to put into a huge paragraph:

edit conflict {{User:MelonDemon43/sig}}
*He is Jacques DuFour's younger brother.

*While not a bounty hunter himself, he does help Jacques with many of his bounties, such as the one on Noxigar.

*He pities Jacques for finding such an "underhwelming" bounty and aspires to do the job for his brother.

*He uses paladin auras for offense and many cleric healing spells for defense.

*Oiracul at one point contracted lycanthropy (he unwillingly turns into a werewolf at night). He can control his werewolf form, but it does cause him to crave meat moreso than usual. For dinner he usually goes to a steakhouse or "bar & grill"-style restaurant.

*Oiracul often receives most of the bounty money Jacques attains because of his often-needed help in getting bounties. Jacques does not necessarily appreciate Oiracul's help all of the time, but it does save his life.

*At some point, Oiracul and Joseph would get along well.

*Derp, he is French.

namely the terminology we use and the impression we give that we're in a fairly modern timeframe - calling Jacques a Ranger is easy because it has secondary definitions and connotations, but it just seems out of place to be using such traditionalist fantasy terminology for no reason, especially considering they were probably more of some sort of tactical squad as opposed to a group of adventurers {{User:Chaosvii7/Sig}} 09:50, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

I'd like to revisit and slightly revise her backstory

namely the terminology we use and the impression we give that we're in a fairly modern timeframe - calling Jacques a Ranger is easy because it has secondary definitions and connotations, but it just seems out of place to be using such traditionalist fantasy terminology for no reason, especially considering they were probably more of some sort of tactical squad as opposed to a group of adventurers Artisan of TortureThey call me Big T BLOODArtisan of Torture 09:50, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Okay. That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'm a little lacking in tactical squad terms, though. Noxigar 12:34, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
We'll think something up. I just feel a little disillusioned when I read about clerics and paladins. I mean, having a cajun necromancer worked because voodoo and Louisiana totally go hand in hand, but this feels out of place. Well actually, I'm not too buzzed about it. From how I see it, the whole order they were part of, I imagine it being one of those incredibly traditionalist ones that span hundreds of years. It could just be that they developed all this stuff during the medieval era, and just happen to keep the titles for the sake of tradition? Lex 17:11, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Also, we should still revise the backstory to prevent conflict, considering how I basically dug up Jacques and tore him apart into a completely different creation now, ha ha ha. Lex 17:16, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
I also wanted to have a Skype jam sesh with you about him and Joe - I had an interesting concept that would require some rewrites to the backstory you've proposed, but I don't want to just go ahead with it without making sure that it's wholly awesome.
