I'd like to revisit and slightly revise her backstory
namely the terminology we use and the impression we give that we're in a fairly modern timeframe - calling Jacques a Ranger is easy because it has secondary definitions and connotations, but it just seems out of place to be using such traditionalist fantasy terminology for no reason, especially considering they were probably more of some sort of tactical squad as opposed to a group of adventurers
