Konstantin Alekseyevich Volkov, commonly referred to by his surname only, is the owner of Katyusha's, a Russian Deli in Townindale which specializes in pierogies. He is also the landlord of Lex and Garfield, with his restaurant doubling as a rental apartment. Volkov moved to the United States in the 90s and wasted no time in making a life for himself in Townindale. After establishing a business which he named after his mother, Volkov became a pillar of the local community, becoming famous for his delicious cooking and warm hospitality.

Volkov's past is shrouded in mystery. Behind his perpetually cheerful demeanor is that of a man who has seen the worst that humanity has to offer. He is someone who has suffered mental and physical anguish beyond human recognition, where the concepts of nightmare seamlessly blend into reality. Volkov may be a great cook and an excellent host, but his biggest skill is the repression of trauma. He has never directly talked about what exactly happened in his past, except that he apparently had a part in preventing World War III.

Volkov's hobbies include martial arts, knitting, opera singing, bonsai maintenance, exercising at the gym, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, ballet dancing, yoga, meditation, and watercolor painting. Most recently, due to the influence of his tenant and friend, Garfield Wiggins, he has also taken a liking to LARPing.
