Basic Info

Marvin Rosenberg is the great nephew of James Rosenberg, and also the sole remaining heir of the Rosenberg family legacy. Unlike his great-uncle, Marvin came from humble beginnings, being born in a modest apartment in New York City.

His great grandfather, Michael Rosenberg, younger brother to James Rosenberg, happened to be criminally insane, having squandered the entirety of his $50 million inheritance on hookers, booze, and gambling. He fathered one child in an affair with a female bartender before passing away alone and penniless in a gutter.

His father, Kent Rosenberg, was a simple office worker, living a modest and average married life with only one child, that being Marv. Despite their family connections, James hardly ever acknowledged this part of his family, refusing to associate with them on part with his estrangement to his own brother. Because of this, Marv's childhood was rather mundane and uneventful, being raised in an ordinary household.

At young adulthood, he found that the family tradition of enterprising had managed to skip two generations and pass its way over to him. Working as a front door bouncer to the "POSEIDON" nightclub in the 1970s, he eventually managed to rise up in the ranks to becoming a nightclub manager himself. Owning various nightclubs and discos in the modern day, one could say that Marvin is in fact, quite successful in life.

Personality-wise, Marvin is a complete wreck. Currently going through a midlife crisis (for the last 15 years or so), he's taken to wearing tacky and outdated clothing from the 1970s as a way of reclaiming his past glory. On top of that, he's highly neurotic and paranoid, due to several conflicts with the law, and the lingering and everlasting prospect of him losing his entire fortune from a series of lawsuits and legal crackdowns. In polite terms, he's a fucking mess, always with a shaky disposition and whatnot. On the exterior however, he manages to hide this neurosis through a layer of false charisma, which he has been doing for years now. It should be duly noted that he's a massive cocaine addict too. Such is natural for those living in the nightclub scene, especially those who actually run it.

Despite being the second most famous member of the Rosenberg family, he refuses to associate with his uncle due to the snubbing his family received from him personally. Any attempts to draw a line of association between the two will be met with utter disdain from Marvin, who prefers to be known on his own terms instead of those of his estranged uncle.

Like his elder relative, Marvin also lives in the state of Listless. He takes his primary residence in the sunny coastal city of "San Cristóbal", a place that is a small distance away from Townindale, where he lives in a luxury seaside apartment.

Back in the late 70s/early-80s, Lex used to frequent many of his famous clubs. Despite a few encounters back in the day, the two never really knew each other personally. Until now.
