10: Futurama. While animated sitcoms shuch as South Park, King of the Hill and The Simpsons were taking the networks to storm, Matt Groening and second man David X. Cohen decided to make a satrical parody of the present day. Although at first glance it may seem like the bastard offspring os Star Trek and The Simpsons, it is much much more. The only drawback is the fact it has since been taken off the air, due to those dubious folks down at FOX. However, rumours of new episodes on Comedy Central have been surfacing...

9: Fawlty Towers Although some (my Mum) may argue this should be higher up, it's lack of many episodes prevent it from reaching the top. Wether it's beating up the Spanish or pissing off the Germans, Fawlty Towers sheer determination to make us laugh by any means possible never fails, and that's why it's great.

8: The Office: British or American When the awesome Ricky Gervais decided to destroy the classic sitcom structure, he knew he had a hit on his hands. The side-splitting cast ripped us up and then, in 2006, America tried to emulate. This time with Steve Carrel in lead role, using a completly different kind of humour, us Brits were impressed that the Yanks could do anything. Right?

7: The Big Bang Theory There's an autistic character in it so I have no choice but to as to like itDON'T TELL MY MUM I SAID THAT OR SHE WILL PURGE ME

6: Creature Comforts" Everybody loves claymation, right? Well, the same dudes who made Wallace and Gromit took an extra step into surreal and made this. Basically, a mock interview show in which the "cast", a bunch of assorted animals, give their opinions on, fast show style. The feeling of being on LSD as well as the sheer things the animals say get this fairly high on the list.

5: Blackadder OH COME ON it's worth seeing entirely for the fith season. Being my personal favourite, I'll vent it.

It starts with a worthy cast: the titular Blackadder, a scared, lonely man despretly attempting to escape the trenches. Baldrick, a clueless man with an anomolous cockney accent. The other dude, who is Baldricks mental twin, and wins all the awards from Stephen Fry, the incompetent General. And finally there's the cleverly named Darling, suffering years of his annoying name. If these strange, beautifuly characterised characters don't excite you, then you're wibble.

4: The Fast Show Y'know, as you can probably see from Animal House up there, I love these types of things. Put in Rowan Atkinson from Blackadder and you've got one of the best skit best shows ever. Basically, a group of things ranging from ten seconds too three minuites rattle off in quick succession, giving you almost no time to stop laughing. Alot of the time everything's incoherent due to the chuckles bombarding your ears. I'm not sure how anything can beat this, but they somehow do.

3: Malcom in the Middle As you may have noticed I think that most Ameican sitcoms are bad and can go stab themselves. However, once upon a time a Simpsons-esque dysfuntional family came along. The thing that makes me laugh so much is how I can relate to it. Well, if you live in a family of four or more, you'll notice that atleast one of the characters will have the same personality as you. There's Hal, the desperate-to-bond-with-kids Dad, Lois, the shot tempered Mother, Francias, the military school attending eldest, Reece, the violent yet sensitive teen, Malcom, the genius yet to be recognised, Dewey, the autistic-esque child and Jamie, the baby. The contrast between the characters is the best thing about it, leaving you wondering who'll conflict with who next.

2: Father Ted Yeah, the Irish are usually Catholic. However, what if the priests didn't know much about God? That's Father Ted. There isn't much I can say about this apart from the fact it's AWESOME. Similar in style to Blackadder, it blends the personalities of normal, stupid, stupider and obsessive compulsive into one. It's perfect for an entire seasons watching box set, with interesting facts about it. And also have it with a drink for full relatability.

Anything with all those things cannot be hated. It's against the law or something. And it's funny too. Yaaaaaaay.
