Yeah, I know, it's been over a year since my last review of one of my favorite films. So, to make that up, I'm about to talk about a film that I really wanted to talk about for a very long time; that being the 1927 silent science fiction film, Metropolis.
The reason I wanted to talk about this is because I've really wanted to see it, both the original and the version from the '80s that contains the pop/rock artists of that era, such as Loverboy and Freddie Mercury. Then, a few months ago, I saw it, and it is quite possibly one of the most glorious movies I have ever seen.
The movie starts off in a similar vibe to George Orwell's 1984. We live in a world where things are just dead and serious, and all we do is work and nothing else. It is world where everybody is a slave. But then, two little kids, one boy and one girl, had escaped at the same time, and felt like they have something in common with each other. The boss gets upset at this, so the boy gets arrested, and he created a robot to destroy mankind if the boy doesn't get back to work.
