Hugo Laurent is the ship's chef, and a damn good one as well, to be exact. A master of fine cuisine, he believes that there is no dish in existence that he cannot cook, and if by any chance there was, then you can be sure that he'll try to his wits end to utilize it and perfect it.

A perpetually happy and likable man hailing from the Caribbean, Hugo manages to always keep his cool in any situation, no matter the situation. In contrast to Seth, who's stoic personality stems from his cold and cynical demeanor, Hugo's personality is much more loving and warm. Friendly and loyal to the end, Hugo keeps the best interests of the entire crew to heart, electing himself to be the voice of reason whenever dispute happens to break out.

Despite his warm and friendly front, and his reluctance to show any emotion that isn't positive, Hugo is definitely no push over. Although not an overall huge fan of combat, Hugo still elects to fight when needed, using his trusty meat cleaver, much like a generic goon in a 1970s Hong Kong kung-fu flick.

A single man, Hugo has had boyfriends in the past, but at the same time he's never really seen himself as the sort to settle down either. He is an adventurer at heart, and an adventurer in practice.
