K-Chu Review/SMG
KIRBYCHU HR'D: Hello, I'm the Nostalgia Critic. I remember it so you don't have to! Wait... wrong line...
Review Time!
...Ignoring the title, today I'm reviewing the god of all video games! That's Super Mario Galaxy if you don't play video games much. On to the review!
Super Mario Galaxy starts off in a similar fashion as Super Mario 64. Peach sends Mario a letter inviting him to the castle to celebrate a festival celebrating the passing of a comet that only appears every 100 years. Then Bowser comes, rips Peach's castle out of the ground with a UFO, and has a magikoopa launch Mario into deep space. The the adventure starts.
Pros
These are the pros to the game.
- Most of Mario's moves from SM64 have been kept.
- Mario can now use a "star spin" move to confuse or kill enemies.
- Magikoopas and Dry Bones make their first 3D appearance.
- Luigi plays a minor NPC roll, where he helps find power stars which you then need to get from him.
- Luigi can be unlocked as a playable character after all stars have been found.
- There are many creative power ups, new and old.
- The graphics are quite good for a Wii game.
Cons
The cons of the game.
- Luigi is harder to use than Mario, and some levels a re nearly impossible with him.
- TEMPORARY POWER UPS. It can get real annoying when you're trying to do something, and then your powers go away.
- SPRING!!! The spring power up is almost impossible to control.
That's pretty much all I can think of. So, If I were to rate this game, I would give it like, a 9/10. It's an awesome game, but it has some less than enjoyable features. That's all for today!
