10 Things You Probably Didn't Know Or Care About FULLPAGENAME
- The show was originally about JCM's journey to Free Country, USA, through obstacles and unusual characters, in a serialized structure with cliffhanger endings and recaps and all that good stuff. Eventually, I discarded that storyline and started over with an idea similar to what you see now. After failing to garner much appreciation, I started over once again in the current line-up. I have never much enjoyed doing the show, as you may find by the quality, but it was all I knew and I was determined to give it a proper ending.
- JCM was not originally planned to be in an unrequited friendship with Chwoka, in fact, they were more of enemies when the show began. However, I realized that the rivalry clashed with JCM's supposedly doltish personality and quickly fixed that up.
- Revenge is a Harsh Mistress was once two separate episodes, explaining the distinction in it's length compared to most of the others in the season. I combined them quite recently deeming the two-parter unnecessary in such a show.
- The episodes are written in one sitting. This is done to help with the fast-paced action necessary in such brief episodes. The only exceptions are "Purge" and "Genius of the Lamp", obviously too expansive to do on the spot.
- Raiku was originally intended to be JCM's second-hand-man, and the only character on the show more annoying than him. I forgot this, however, because of lack of interest and the reason coming up.
- Episode 11 is JCMovie's sbemail 22. I desperately tried to come up with new material for it while I was writing, but could think of nothing and just saved it into a remote file to come back to later. Unfortunately, I never did, and waited until before the series finale to take another look at and finish it.
- Lightning Guy and Mr. Cloud were supposed to be extremely major characters. They were the focus of the original episodes, and I had planned to give them big roles in this format, but I could never incorporate them into any of my plotlines, so they got minor roles at best in scattered episodes.
- A JCMovies episode was close to getting MFT3k'd but Chwoka found "Purge" too freaking long and boring to riff. He did tackle on a good portion of the beginning, notably originating the mocking PROFESSIONAL TOUGH/CYNICAL guy lines that I took the liberty to reuse for the episode itself.
- The Purge and Genius episodes had to be constantly modified because the purge's updates were moving faster than I was writing. That's why the some parts of both might seem rushed or inaccurate.
- JCMovies does not actually contain references to disabilities, rape, cancer, murder, suicide, necrophilia, pedophilia, sexual deviancy, sexually transmitted diseases, self-harm, nihilism, or violence so stop writing those angry mom letters to me.
