Moderation

This page (although confusingly named) is designed for the management of various moderator requests. Read below to find out more.

Application Form

Want to join the cool club of moderators? Add your name to the list along with the approximate time you've been here and some stuff you've done. Please remember that I really don't care what you've done anywhere other than the wiki, nor do I need to know exactly what you'll do if you become moderator (because chances are you'll do exactly the same thing as any other moderator). I know what most of you guys are like and all it may take is for me to see your name to accept or decline your 'application'. With that in mind, go nuts.

Signatures are for stupid people and any signature I see on this list will RUIN YOUR CHANCES FOREVER.

  • Tahu - HRFWiki: About a month after it started as Sbemaillover, about a year ago as Tahu. WUW: March 29 2008 - Not much fanstuff, but I've been on the HRFWiki longer than most of you guys were. And I inspired the ability to change usernames when I went from Sbemaillover to Tahu.
  • Chaosvii7 -Ever since joining at exactly 19:58, 23 October 2007, I have made several community works, (for about a week) had 6 of the most top-viewed pages, reverted spam and vandalism, made the Command List, made 8,144 edits overall, and helped debate most arguments, before changing my otherwise dull sense of humor. I'm also an official Sysop at the DragonFable Wiki.. I regular the WUW more than any other website, but am on for at least 9 hours on the typical weekday, and sometimes spanning to a day on weekends.
  • Lemon Demon43 - I've been here since August 2, 2008, if not inactive on the HRFWiki I would be very early. I've been a very productive user, having mod/sysop/beurocrat powers on many other wikis. Also, I have been looking at here as an IP since early 2008. I patrol RC all day, waiting for n00bs to revert. Overall, I can be mod material.
  • Im a bell - I've been here since I've been here since September 8, 2007, on the (still purged) HRFWiki since March 4, 2007, and on the HRWiki since February 27, 2007. I love this place, and wish to kill BRUTALLY MURDERindef block any vandals that come here. I am also a very frequent user here. VERY FREQUENT. ...Yeah, I'm not gonna get the jobmoddom, am I?
  • Ninjaduck - I am very active user here, watching over recent changes. I feel I would do a good job of blasting vandals. I made the favicon and some logos that have been accepted into the logo rotation. I joined the WUW on May 8, 2008.
  • Zoo977 - Been on the wiki for about 1.5 years, made 4,896 edits, making me the 7th most productive user, won FOTF, has an undying hatred for vandels, very frequent user, patrols recent changes for half the time I'm on, and I feel I'm ready for modship. Or, at least some lesser form of modship.
  • StrongRad - Is doing a fine job as one on the EWiki.
  • The thing - I joined July 22 and I'm awesome.
  • Badstar - I can't really remember when I joined. I first edited my page around June 18th or so. I don't really know when I joined. Anyway, I've had tons of experience of membership here and on the Fanstuff wiki (If it really matters) and I have had my share of vandalism reverting! I've helped settle many arguments (or at least I try to). Others say I'm a pretty good user and I'm not just saying that! So anyway, those are the reasons I want to be mod. I'm also on the WUW most of the day every day, even when others aren't. ...Oh, and I'll give Sam some cookies.
  • Kirbychu - I first joined the wiki November 20, 2007. I'm fairly pleasant, and I have a lot of wiki experience. I have knowledge of Mod powers(I did own a wiki for a while)and I've reveryed a lot of vandalism, and I usually try to help out when someone's in need. Also, I'm on the wiki at least 3 or 4 times every day for at least an hour unless there's a problem, or I'm in a bad mood.

Additional Powers

Already a mod but think you can't do your job effectively without additional powers? Clearly you're lying, but if you think you need to be able to something you can't (please remember that you are a moderator, not a sysop) put it here and I'll consider it.

"nuke"

What is this User:Vindicator/sig 00:48, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

It sounds like a mass deletion. Or maybe the WUW equivalent of a purge. belstrnnmmvnmn 00:53, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
It sounds to me more like it's the ability to delete all traces of the page (ie not even moderators can see it) or to undo all the contributions by a particular user. — ChwokaTalk 01:26, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry it's a closely guarded secret however uranium is probably involved - Super Sam 01:30, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Maybe it destroys a page and every subpage equivalent to it. --Homestar tigerGah-rowl.Geronimo! 01:34, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I thought of that too. WAIT MAYBE IT DELETES USERS belstrnnmmvnmn 01:38, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
removes all pages and removes all users except the founder of the wiki

I've got an idea. Look at the MediaWiki page! MeTK2lK.pngrEqWIWX.png 01:13, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Super Sam, can you add this to the mod permissions please? It would make it much easier for the mass deletion of Raiku's unused fanstuff. Lex 14:24, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

It only shows pages that are still in the recentchanges table in the database (ie. the last week or so of edits). - Super Sam 06:06, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
