My problem with the parody genre as a whole is how it requires hardly any effort to actually do. Instead of writing comedic jokes which are original, you can simply get bits from all sorts of different movies and basically pick the lowest hanging fruits from the tree that you've picked and chosen yourself. Like in Epic Movie, "Let's get Jack Sparrow... but call him Jack SWALLOWS. A BLOWJOB JOKE GUYS."
