Ever since 1986, Pixar made a lot of shorts that were groundbreaking, and in 1995, starting with Toy Story, the company grew more and more successful movies critically and commercially...for the most part.
NOXIGAR: So the company just grew more and more successful movies? From a garden, I presume.
I give Cars 2 an extreme exception, which is the reason why Disney bought Pixar in a whopping count of over $7 billion.
NAMINE: That's an awfully specific reason. I imagine Disney buying Pixar was because Pixar had almost exclusively been successful with Disney, and a merger might've helped the relationship of both companies.
With the exception of the Cars movies, nothing else from Pixar were bad,
NOXIGAR: "Nothing else were bad" is not correct sentence structure.
NAMINE: You seem so quick to point out grammar a lot. Any particular reason?
NOXIGAR: I had, once, made the mistake of using past and present tense in the same sentence in a History paper, which emphasized almost entirely on pure past tense.
NOXIGAR: I've had a history of screwing up grammar on purpose, to get a feel of what was correct and what isn't.
NAMINE: That's not particularly consistent, though. It doesn't seem like you screw it up that badly.
and the movies show. This is why i consider Finding Nemo to be one of their best.
NOXIGAR: "It's Pixar and not Cars, therefore it's automatically good?"
I remember 2003, where everybody went insane over that one movie, Finding Nemo.
NOXIGAR: I don't remember 2003, or going insane over "that one movie."
And i am not gonna lie, this is one of Pixar's greatest! Now, the film starts out with a clownfish named Marlin. He is with married
NAMINE: I thought fish didn't marry?
NOXIGAR: They don't. They mate, though.
female clownfish who is named Coral. Both of them are in a new home where they collect 96 babies
NAMINE: Did you count, or did the movie just tell you?
in the reef. Marlin wanted to name all the fishes, but has no deciding on what the name would be, so Coral had a great idea to name one of the fishes, Nemo. Marlin is introduced so well, mind you. An unexpected disaster struck, however, when they are stalked by a large predator. That predator killed Coral, the wife of Marlin, and all of the eggs have been found dead, except for Nemo. This tragic scene ends up being really amazing, since you don't expect the film to be this tragic.
NAMINE: No, there's almost always expected tragedy in Disney movies. At the beginning, something bad has to happen which illustrates a finer point about why our princess deserves the best ending feasible. If not a princess, usually someone else is a protagonist who deserves a lot more than what they had at the beginning.
We cut to years later where Nemo is excited about the first day of school. If you see the scene with Marlin and Nemo for the first time, Marlin is overprotected because he wants the best for his son. It's not just that, however. He wanted the best for Nemo because he doesn't want him out of his site.
NOXIGAR: site
NAMINE: Technically, their home could be a "site."
NOXIGAR: I guess? Still, the context here is key.
So they go to school for the first day, meeting a LOT of new friends, with Marlin saying some terrible jokes. Now the class moves on to their first field trip to the tour of the ocean. Marlin lets it go, until... he realizes that he's going to the dropoff. He overreacts yet again. meanwhile, Nemo and friends are taking an ocean tour. May i keep this in mind,
NOXIGAR: Any question marks or colons?
the animation, as far as the ocean goes, is just damn gorgeous!
The kids sneak out of the class, just doing the challenge, only for Nemo to decide what to do. The dad comes in all upset that Nemo is doing such a thing, only to find out that Nemo isn't, but he did anyway to showoff his dad, and he got captured by an underwater diver.
NOXIGAR: Are the run-ons killing you as much as they are me, Namine?
NAMINE: Not really. I do think he's writing as though he were speaking, though. It explains the writing faux pas just now, as well as all of the previous mistakes. You also did not catch all of the other grammar mistakes Bastard has made in previous episodes.
NOXIGAR: Wait, really? Now, I have to go back and check on those mistakes!
Marlin finds him, up to the point where he talks to every locals questioning where Nemo is, only to be bumped by Dory. Dory is a fun character. She is like Genie from Disney's Aladdin where he may be annoying at start, but then becomes a charming, loveable character.
NAMINE: I personally think The Genie was, and still is, always a stand-up guy. One would ideally grow to like him quickly, because he had a musical number swiftly explaining all of his positive traits.
Anyway, Dory guides Marlin. Then she explains that she has short-term memory loss. That is impossibly unexpected for both Pixar and the writers of the film.
NAMINE: Ooh, ooh! Tell me my quirks, Noxigar!
NOXIGAR: You're an alternate version of a pre-existing character from Kingdom Hearts that I think my Somebody grew to like a lot. You were originally a tragic character who was used for your artistic talents, in order to mess with some cheeky bloke's heart. While you came close to messing with him so badly to where you were a substitute for Kairi, one of the blokes using you, a guy named "Axel," freed you while taking advantage of the fact his teammates and fellow cohorts were too busy slap-fighting each other over minutia. From there, you decided to rectify your mistakes by rendering a Keyblade-wielder, a dog, a duck, and a cricket all comatose for a year in order to repair their memories.
NAMINE: I... see...?
NAMINE: That's... that's it? I thought you knew more about me.
NOXIGAR: I do. The main quirks are "artist," "specialist with memory-based powers," and "Sora's Nobody." You also can affect anyone who has encountered Sora at some point in their life, which includes myself since I avidly played the Kingdom Hearts series as a Somebody. Then, I met you, and from there we bonded over Homestar Runner and over Lex being a lovable Superior, moreso than my former Superior.
Just as soon as Marlin quits on Dory,
NAMINE: "Quits on" is just such a weird phrase in general.
they met a shark named Bruce. You think this shark could be evil judging by the tone, but he is actually friendly to both of them, so he takes them to the lecture where they talk about how fishes cannot be eaten. I find that scene to be not only hysterical, but really true. I always quote the line, "Fish are friends, not food." as a child.
NOXIGAR: I always quoted

NOXIGAR: If you use a phrase involving something happening in the past, the tense is to be past unless you're explaining why something is also consistently in the present.
And remember when I said that Bruce is friendly? Well, he ends up being a threat when he gets addicted to fish
NOXIGAR: addicted to blood
later on. It's clear to know that he really isn't who he is.
Marlin explains to the sharks in the room on what happened to his son, only to look at the goggles. He and Dory grab the goggles, but Dory couldn't read. Worst part is that Dory had a wee-bit injury to her nose where blood comes out, and it puts Bruce out of control.
Meanwhile, Nemo is awakened that he is in a fish tank, in a dentist office. He is greeted with many fishes and sea creatures in the tank. The dentist tried to explain that Nemo is saved, until we meet Darla, the dentist's niece, who tortures fishes time to time.
NOXIGAR: unintentionally kills fish because she's not savvy about them in the slightest
He, and the rest of the fish fear,
NOXIGAR: Fear what, fear in general?
that is until we meet a fish who is not so fearful in the tank, Gil. He teaches Nemo how to overcome the fear and help himself.
We cut to Marlin and Dory escaping the disaster that just happened, until the goggles were found lost in the unknown. Just as soon as Marlin gives up, Dory gave a great advice to him, which is, "Just keep swimming." So they swam, and when they found the mask, they were attacked by a predator. In this scene, it turns out Dory can read the address. Not only this, she remembers Marlin. He tries doing a LOT of explaining of why Dory isn't helping, and tries to hurt her feelings. He can't recognized
NOXIGAR: He can't recognize
the journey is, until she points out. It takes a while for Marlin to learn that she is helping him. With her help, she asks for directions to Sydney, while Marlin has issues trusting her.
They then run into a flock of jellyfishes. They may be in great danger, however, Marlin becomes calm by accepting the situation whether it would be good or bad,as he and Dory have a great time, which makes him enjoy himself more than what he was after the death of Coral. That is, until one of the biggest tragic things
NOXIGAR: most tragic things
happen in the film happens, where Dory is caught in the jellyfish sting. It was so unfortunate to be close to being as bad as Coral's death. They faint until something happened, which we'll get to after this subplot...
...Nemo has to learn how to swim through what the fishes in the tank call, The Ring of Fire. It's a process that dangers him, but is more brave enough to do it.
NOXIGAR: Remind me to say "more brave enough" more often
He then becomes the most important part of the group with Gil explaining how they'll be free. Gil explains that in order to escape, he will grab the pebble, throw it in its filter, as the dentist would take the fishes out of the tank.
NAMINE: In order to escape this review, you will grab a trash can and throw it through a plate glass window while Homestar Runner proclaims himself a law.
NOXIGAR: I think that's the first time either of us has straight-up planned something with Homestar in a long time.
NOXIGAR: Won't that just confuse Lex, Ben, or Chaos?
NAMINE: 'Kay, from now on I'm just going to dress up as Homestar Runner when I need you to do something for me.
In the process, they will roll out of the window and back to the ocean.
Nemo does his try, but failed, leading Gil to explain that it was a good learning experience for each other. This is where Nemo realizes from the moment he was in sea, he grows up more and more as time passes by.
Back with Marlin and Dory, they are awoken by sea turtles, which leads to the character named, Crush, who like Marlin, is caring to his son.
NOXIGAR: Why are there so many commas in almost all the wrong places?
What's good about the traits with Crush and his son is that they are more caring than Marlin and Nemo, as Marlin is more shy and frightened than Crush. What leads to
NOXIGAR: What this leads to
is a scene where Crush gives out a great advice to Marlin, which is about parenting the kids in a safe manner.
At this point, Marlin tells what happened in the journey and how Nemo was held captive. This message was given throughout the ocean, all the way to the dentist office. And this where every fish talks about it, with the pelican flying to the dentist office telling this information to the fishes. At first, Nemo didn't realize that it was his father looking for him, until the pelican tells it otherwise that Marlin is brave enough to swim across the ocean. Nemo gives another shot for the filter plan. This time, he pulls it off.
Meanwhile, Marlin and Dory found Sydney as they try to escape the ocean until they found a little fish that turns out to be a mammal.
NOXIGAR: find or tried - pick a tense, and stick with it through the whole sentence. Nay, stick it through the whole paragraph
This is the part where Marlin explains why he is fearful like he was when Coral died. Marlin explains to Dory that he is protecting his son not because of danger, but because of life. They then escaped from the mammal by letting go.
The filter plan was ready to go for the tank gang, until the dentist put in a new cleaner device. To add insult to injury, Darla enters. The dentist try to grab the fishes by the net, and then escape from the net. It was too late, unfortunately, because Nemo was held captured to be tortured by Darla.
Dory and Marlin finally arrive in Sydney only to be attacked by Seagulls but a pelican comes in and saves them only to find out, Nemo died,
{Noxigar opens his mouth as if to say something, but Namine lifts a hand over his mouth.}
NAMINE: Don't.
{Noxigar sighs wistfully, as he finds out exactly why Namine stopped him.}
which is actually a pretend death. Gil then helps Nemo and sends him to the drain, while Marlin is saddened that Nemo died, which is actually fake, but he did not realize that. He thanked Dory for the help, and heads home. She explains why Marlin means something to her and how she is the way she is before she met Marlin.
Marlin and Dory went solo until Nemo is back on sea, and this is where Dory lost her memory again. The word, "Sydney," then floods back to her. And as they see Marlin, he and Nemo at last have a reunion they will never forget. A boat captures all the blackfishes as well as Marlin, Nemo, and Dory. However, they're not done for, since Nemo has an idea since
{Noxigar grumbles, while Namine still silences him otherwise.}
he did in the fish tank. To have all the fish swim down out of the net at once. Nemo helps Dory and Marlin tells all the fishes to keep swimming.
The three finally got home and finally overcame their fear. Nemo races his friends to school, and as for Dory, even if her memory is questionable, she still remembers Marlin and Nemo.

NAMINE: He didn't reference the "Bye Elmo" bit at the end.
{Noxigar huffs. He realizes he could just lick Namine's hand to get it off his mouth, but that's poor form.}
Now, talking about how Pixar nailed it with Finding Nemo is too difficult, but it's best for me to explain otherwise. For the most part, the characters are more than just original, and the story may not be new, but execution wise, it's just heartwarming. This is a Pixar film that's more than just adventure, it's journey.
The characters have learned a lot throughout the film, which explains why Marlin is completely afraid. It is also one of those kids movies that don't use bravery that much for an antagonist. As much as I enjoy the positive energy and its glee, I still love it because of its sad moments. It's no question or doubt that Marlin is most of the time, fearful and broken.
Albert Brooks plays a fish named Marlin, and Dory is played by Ellen DeGeneres, and both of them are stunning characters. They are stunning, because they have a unique personality on either how tragic or how glee
NOXIGAR: {muffled} Glee is not an adjective. Gleeful is
the things can be.
Animation wise, it's beautiful! From different water looks to out of the sea. But what makes the film so engaging is the moral. With all the outstanding characters, and story which is breathtaking, this film will be left lost without a moral of the plot. That being, life is bad. But, in order to feel less pain, you better get used to the pain.

NAMINE: Nox, the reason I'm stopping you is mostly because you're just criticizing the grammar. This isn't an action-adventure work, so it's not like the adventure is going to be exciting or dull. This is hardly a comedy, as in this particular writing there aren't any jokes to speak of. The Bastard acts like He11sing920 by joking about his bad movies, and he takes a little too much from him, yes. Basically, this isn't a fictional piece. Most of what you've been doing has just been nitpicking his grammar and inconsistent behaviour when it comes to the negative reviews. Op ed pieces are just that: opinions. I get you disagree with The Bastard on a lot of things, but even then the opinion train's not going to stop.
saying the following, after watching this movie again and again for years, this ends up being as good as first two Toy Story movies, and WALL-E. In fact, seeing this again, I consider this to be my favorite Pixar movie to ever exist.
