For this review, I'm gonna question on why Black Swan is good, because clearly this movie is retarded.

NAMINE: Movies can have mental disabilities, apparently?

It's not good, it's not bad, I don't know what this is! It's dumb! And everybody loves this!

NOXIGAR: I don't remember seeing Black Swan, although I can't picture myself liking it.

NAMINE: I personally think you would.

NOXIGAR: I'll consider watching it later on Netflix.

Hell, I used to like this movie. But time changes.

NAMINE: What made you used to like it? What positives does the movie have?

For those unaware, I'm biased against the Oscars since February 2011,

NOXIGAR: I've been biased against the Oscars

when they broadcasted the Oscars for 2010 movies. i thought, in my opinion, Melissa Leo was the best actress of the year for her performance in The Fighter, rather than Natalie Portman's performance in Black Swan. Portman got the award. I'll talk more about her performance later.

NAMINE: I think I figured out the root cause of his disdain.

NOXIGAR: Hrm?
NAMINE: Natalie Portman stars as the protagonist.

NOXIGAR: I suppose that would be the main reason he dislikes the movie, given what we've been clued on from before.

The movie is about Portman trying to perform in a Tchicovsky play, Swan Lake. Then, she hears that she will be rivaled by the one dancer from California, played by Mila Kunis. Oh gee, she's a villain and she's also a bitch. You know, if your film's villain has a trait, don't be just jerk and that's it, because clearly, this is what it's implying. Then, it focuses on how Portman is whiny and complaining a lot, she turns into a swan, literally, she has having psychological problems, and... this is all over the place.

NOXIGAR: It's not really all over the place.

NAMINE: Oh?
NOXIGAR: I've heard about the Swan Lake play, and about this movie, from artsier people. The movie's about the psychological problems, and Portman portrays the character well.
NAMINE: Makes sense? You can still be all over the place while mentioning the psyche of your protagonist.

NOXIGAR: A lot is being oversimplified.

The movie is also just too slow. Like the pacing just goes nowhere. We got 2 minutes in the opening of Natalie dancing without any explaining, slow filler, and then an hour in, she's a swan.

NAMINE: Wouldn't that mean the pacing's inconsistent? I feel like that would make a more precise criticism.
NOXIGAR: Yeah no, there's a lot that goes into the film being consistently slow, I imagine. Oversimplification at best, deliberate omission of important plot details at worst.

I'm aware that this was "INSPIRED" by Perfect Blue, but guess what, that movie wasn't slow placed than this!

NOXIGAR: wasn't as slow paced as this

Now let's talk about Natalie Portman's performance in the film. She whines, she complains, that's it. She makes her performance in the Star Wars prequels seem good. She shouldn't get the Oscar for this! I mean, her acting is just her whining, and that's basically the trait for her, kinda like how Mila's trait in this movie is that she's a bitch. But people loved her performance... and this movie!

NAMINE: I feel like he's deliberately oversimplifying Portman's performance just to get a couple of easy jabs at her acting.

NOXIGAR: He is. The Star Wars prequels are bad because they're written badly, and the acting is inconsequential for it because acting often hinges on how scripts are written. The only way to tell if acting is poor is if it's not consistent with what's written or doesn't emote the truth of a character behind their actions.
NAMINE: What if the character in question just whined and complained the whole time?

NOXIGAR: I highly doubt that's the case. Even so, first person narratives tend to be shoddily written or have an obvious bias you're supposed to pick up.

Hell, some people claim that this should've won the Oscars for Best Picture. For those who predicted that, you lost!

NAMINE: What if someone in your audience did not bother with the Oscars? What if someone didn't predict anything?

The King's Speech and The Social Network were proof that they are better than Black Swan.

NOXIGAR: The Social Network is bad. The King's Speech is okay. I have seen both, at least. I am bolding some of my verbs to notate a consistent tense. Switching between past and present tense in the same sentence is stinging my eyes.

Finally, I have a question. Why do people love this movie? Why is it good? I wanna know. This movie is so bad, that it's needs answers on why people like this.

NAMINE: You never illustrated any positives with the movie. Even faint praise might've given us a glimpse as to why you liked it initially, which is what you said.
