the robots are house guests now?

oh my god i love this so much Lex 23:13, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

That is the plan, yes, although I have yet to brainstorm it. I mostly decided to start with an opener to test my Show:Tell ratio. After watching some Firefly episodes recently, I'm starting to get a bit more conscious about it, given I riff near anything anyway. Thing about the episodes I watched is sometimes those episodes would drag something out that was really minor and then go into mass detail about it later, or otherwise exposit on something else and then drop the subject matter in the next few episodes. Both these things are writing no-nos, so I figured I'd learn from my riffing and try to avoid becoming the padded strawberry eating scene in the pilot that has no bearing on plot or character development at all. Strawberry eating scene? Lex 23:37, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
The Engineer (Kaylee?) eats a strawberry for much longer than is necessary, and the scene is played out so the eating looks sexy. In reality, it looks annoying. Noxigar 23:41, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

something worth noting

Regarding the contrast between Rosenberg and D'Arque, what with Rosenberg having a city and D'Arque having a town.

D'Arque is technically in a better position, due to the fact that he actually has all the power in Towningdale while not actually being an official leader. Rosenberg, while being the official mayor of the city, holds almost no power whatsoever due to his reclusive nature, and with the exception of the wealthy area in which he resides, the rest of the city is really a crime invested pit. I guess we could shed some light on that. Noxigar 01:20, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

We should also use the room to keep track of plot points and their ensuing plot holes

So as to ensure we don't have any problems like we have the last two/three times we did this. Artisan of TortureThey call me Big T BLOODArtisan of Torture 04:11, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Alright. I'm trying to avoid those confounded plot holes, if I can. Noxigar 04:15, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Of course. But at this point, I don't believe we have any, do we? Lex 04:15, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
No, but if you notice one as it arises in the future(and in particular, don't want to deal with it/can't), then you can post it and one of us can pounce on it to fix the hole.
Also, I think this is the direction for the episode is heavy plotwork, which means we can devote all of Episode 6 to stupid shenanigans Artisan of TortureThey call me Big T BLOODArtisan of Torture 04:18, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Oh yes, that sounds good. Building up backstory and whatnot. Smashing idea! Lex 04:19, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

"Space Pirate"

All of the sudden, my headcanon Vindi is that of Orphaner Dualscar.
Fucking Homestuck's corrupted me. Lex 04:21, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Ha. Noxigar 04:23, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
As the nostalgia engrained in me kicks in, I drew some influence from that from Kagato, though obviously not aimed at being wholly evil. Artisan of TortureThey call me Big T BLOODArtisan of Torture 04:24, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
actually can we have all "criminal era" flashbacks represent cheesy anime shows from the 80s-90s because that would be awesome Lex 04:29, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
You fucking know it Artisan of TortureThey call me Big T BLOODArtisan of Torture 04:37, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
I agree. Although I have difficulty analogizing myself to an earlier era. Noxigar 04:39, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
