I thought Scott Pilgrim was really good actually

The story sucked.

The entire time I was rooting for the antagonists because of how badly-written the protagonist was throughout the entire comic book/film/yadda-yadda.

Okay, I get it, the protagonist is a hipster, there's like SO MANY HINTS throughout the whole thing

"Best fighter in the province"? That just yells MARY SUE.

Oh, hey, Lucas Lee's actually kinda polite- DAMN IT, PROTAGONIST YOU SUCK.

All of his jokes are unfunny and fall flat with ease.

THE ACTION NEVER STOPS.

Oh, and I like how he's cheating on a 17-year-old with this other person in the process and no one notices except for the otherwise-useless side characters.
