It turned out that humanity wasn't alone in the universe. The first contact between human and extraterrestrial life took place on September 8, 2166, when a Devaian survey ship, having detected high levels of life energy in the Milky Way, touched down in Romulus, Mars, where they met with the ambassador, George Roddenbury. This event is generally referred to as the defining moment in Human history, eventually paving the way for a partnership between the two races. This moment gave the human race a sense of ambition that they had never felt before in their lives, and they pushed forward with the help of the Devaians, until they were able to establish contact with other galaxies. This event allowed for the creation of the "United Galactic Federation". | It turned out that humanity wasn't alone in the universe. Reboot/Retcon of Space-Aged Stupidity.
Plot
Setting
The year is currently 2312. Mankind had made great progress over the past three hundred years. The entire galaxy had been made easily accessible through the discovery of hyperspace gates, which allowed for quick and safe travel between planets. Because of this revolutionary discovery, mankind adapted, and they spread themselves all throughout the galaxy, colonizing the planets and allowing them to develop over time. Space travel had become a common method of transport, and the Milky Way Galaxy acted as humanity's beacon to the rest of the Universe.
Rules
- You're only allowed to control up to 3 characters at a time. Not that we don't trust you, but it's easier for everyone to moderate both yourself and others if we can assuredly keep track over who controls whom. This won't be true of the first few episodes, in which things will be different to accommodate for the lack of writers.
- There will be a universally decided plot and if you're not here and have points to make, then make them when you come back and we will all work to implement them effectively. Most everything we do regarding plot will be by consensus.
- Footnotes are for OOC information, and contextual jokes. To make a footnote, attach {number}, the number then being repeated below the fanstuff. It's fairly easy to pick up.
- If you sincerely don't know how to do something in the syntax code that we use and you want to, ask everyone on the talk page. Someone has to be able to, right? Right?
- Don't play the characters you don't own unless given permission.
- No godmodding, unless you kill yourself or something.
- If you join up, but don't contribute for a long while, then we have full authority to write your character out of the plot. If by any chance you come back after this period, you are free to rejoin the series.
Story
The series revolves around the crew of the "Leviathan X". A motley crew of adventurers and bounty hunters who travel the universe doing high-risk jobs for a wide variety of employers, all for a meager living. No job is too dirty for them, whether it happens to be the pursuing of criminals for the price on their heads, or the general solving of strange and bizarre crimes. Unfortunately, they are some of the unluckiest people in the star system.
