{Open up on a dry and desolate dock. In the distance two humanoid figures are loading things onto an abandoned barge. Their voices can be heard, but they're faint.}

HUMANOID FIGURE 1#: {starts beeping} Fuel supply running low. Project MONOLITH, give me some of that oil.

HUMANOID FIGURE 2#: {deep voice} Certainly, project RUSTBUCKET. {rough chuckle}

{Camera zooms up on the second humanoid figure to reveal the figure is rather blocky in stature and build. The words "MONOLITH" appears at the bottom right in green as the figure leans down. As the words disappear, Monolith stands up again and gives the first humanoid figure a beaker of oil. The figure then opens its "mouth" and pours the contents of the beaker into its fuel system.}

RUSTBUCKET: {stops beeping} Thank you, project MONOLITH.

MONOLITH: Anytime.

{Monolith continues to load the objects onto the ship as Rustbucket stands there "heaving".}

RUSTBUCKET: How much longer until completion?

MONOLITH: Estimated percentage: 90%. Previous percentage before you had to get refilled: 91%.

RUSTBUCKET: {sighs and sits down} Why haven't the creators returned? Surely they'd be back now.

MONOLITH: Theoretically, of course. However the nuclear war probably slowed them down a lot. Theoretically, 95% down.

RUSTBUCKET: Well that's useless.

{Behind them, a strange figure appears, clad in an obsidian kind of armour, consealing all but its eyes, which can not be seen. The robots notice the figure's arrival and turn around.}

RUSTBUCKET: Who are you?

{The figure does not answer.}

RUSTBUCKET: Hello?

{The figure does not respond and instead makes two strange pods appear. The figure beckons them towards it.}

RUSTBUCKET: Are you one of the creators?

{The figure does not respond and continues to beckon them.}

MONOLITH: It is clear he is not here to talk.

RUSTBUCKET: Agreed. Should we trust him?

MONOLITH: My sensors do not sense any threat. But I can't identify his material. It's almost as if he's just...nothing.

RUSTBUCKET: Whelp, might as well go in.

{The two robots enter the pods and immediately, the pods disappear, along with the figure.}

{Open up on a dark room which clearly has not been touched in years. A man walks around it with a flashlight, clearly looking for something.}

MAN: This is a strange place. I hope we find what we're looking for...

{The camera looks at them from behind a very familiar-looking pod. The man notices the pod and walks over.}

MAN: Hello, what's this? This is no technology I've ever seen before, and look!

{The man stares at the occupant inside, which happens to be Rustbucket, in delight.}

MAN: My my, what an advanced design! Well, it may not look as if we've found what we've been looking for, but we've found something better! {notices the other pod} And there's two of them!

{The man hugs the pods.}

MAN: Oh man, I'm going to become so rich from this! {laughs with such delight that he starts to become teary-eyed}

{The pods start to grow red as the man hugs them. After a while, the doors of the pod burst out, and with them, the robots. The robots start to wake up as the man struggles to get up.}

MONOLITH: Ugh...what a night.

{As Monolith and Rustbucket get up, the man looks at them in horror.}

MONOLITH: {notices the man and looks at him} What's the matter, human? Never seen a robot before?

{The man cowers in the corner whimpering in fear while the two robots stare at him.}

RUSTBUCKET: Uhhh...hello?

MONOLITH: Nevermind him, let's figure out where we are.

{Monolith starts to explore the place; Rustbucket moves closer to the man, and the man faints out of shock.}

LATER...

{Rustbucket and Monolith stumble through an entrance into a well-lit apartment.}

RUSTBUCKET: This isn't stealing, is it?

MONOLITH: Not if we give it back to him later. We'll only need this place for a short time. And besides, the cops and army will be on the building within hours.

RUSTBUCKET: How do you know that?

MONOLITH: I had been watching old movies while on my break, so old that they haven't even put them on a USB drive yet.

RUSTBUCKET: So we're in an old movie?

MONOLITH: Thankfully not; we're in the past. Hopefully the mysterious stranger knew what he was doing when he sent us back here.

RUSTBUCKET: So what do we do, then?

MONOLITH: We find someone to house us while we're here.

RUSTBUCKET: I see. Why am I asking all the questions when I have the same knowledge and IQ as you?

MONOLITH: No idea. That bothersome human must be gone by now, let's leave.

{The two robots leave the house.}

HOURS LATER...

{The robots are walking along the road, with car wreckages on either side.}

RUSTBUCKET: Gee, these humans of the past must be very ignorant.

MONOLITH: The ancestors only have a fraction of the technology the creators do. There must be someone around here...
