After watching some Firefly episodes recently, I'm starting to get a bit more conscious about it, given I riff near anything anyway. Thing about the episodes I watched is sometimes those episodes would drag something out that was really minor and then go into mass detail about it later, or otherwise exposit on something else and then drop the subject matter in the next few episodes. Both these things are writing no-nos, so I figured I'd learn from my riffing and try to avoid becoming the padded strawberry eating scene in the pilot that has no bearing on plot or character development at all.
