DAISY
The Scion of Sarasaland

Description

Princess Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land on the Game Boy, as the captured Princess of Sarasaland that Mario had to save. Since then, she's appeared in a majority of the Mario spinoffs such as Mario Party and the Mario Sports games as a sort of Luigi equivalent to Peach. While Peach has always had her Daisy alternative in Smash Bros, I thought of an idea to flesh out Daisy as a full-fledged character centered around her debut game.

While Daisy works above average on her own, she is at heart a summon character. She will call upon the various creatures of Sarasaland to help her out.

Special Moves

  • STANDARD: Superball - Much like Mario's Fireball, Daisy uses the Super Mario Land variant, the Superball. It travels in a diagonal line downward and bounces off walls, rather than bouncing up and down like the Fireball. It stays onscreen for four seconds, and Daisy cannot use another one until the current one on screen disappears. The Superball can also grab an item for Daisy if she hits one with it, however this only works on smaller items.
  • SIDE: Bunbun Assault - Daisy summons a Bunbun to help her. They will fly forward, stopping to drop spears on opponents. However, they can be stepped on.
  • UP: Batadon Rescue - Daisy flies upward on a Batadon. Pressing B will cause Daisy to hop off, and the Batadon will start hopping along the ground. Much like the Bunbun, they can be stepped on and killed.
  • DOWN: Ganchan Throw - Daisy throws a Ganchan which bounces along the stage. While it cannot be killed by stepping on it, it can be stood on without any harm.

Final Smash: Pagosu

While the Pagosu is a ship used by the evil alien, Tatanga, Daisy calls upon its aid in her Final Smash. It can freely move around in the air and can fire large missiles which turn into smaller ones. She has this attack for about the same amount of time as Fox's Landmaster.
