The entire galaxy had been made easily accessible through the discovery of hyperspace gates, which allowed for quick and safe travel between planets. Because of this revolutionary discovery, mankind adapted, and they spread themselves all throughout the galaxy, colonizing the planets and allowing them to develop over time.
