The authoritative index on all topics within the forum's most popular board. Welcome to the Fun & Games archive, where we explore the very heart of the Fanstuff Forum and where much of the hilarity takes place.

Please note that bumping any of these historical topics is strongly discouraged and you will be shot if you do so.

  • August 30, 2005: the 47th topic on the forum is created, and the first in the Fun & Games forum. This topic was Right of Left?, a simple topic asking whether the user was right or left-handed. This topic was created by Shim-Sham-Sam and established that all the real Sams (excluding the "not real Sam" Sahm) were both left-handed and born in May.
  • September 15, 2005: Stinkoman K asks "Have you ever did an EEK dance?" Everyone says yes except for the ones who were lying. It is bumped in April 2007 and promptly shot by the early third-gens.
  • October 5, 2005: Joshua creates the first actual game, This or That? It reaches 13 pages within a week and settled on 52 pages (with 769 replies) 7 months after is was created. To this very day, nobody is quite sure whether Coolio Da Fabio or Dylan Burges is better, and Joshua gave some very good advice in the opening post:
QUOTE (Joshua @ October 5, 2005)
ANd hopefully this won't cause a Forum Games thread to pop up. Try to keep forum games to a minimum.
...and we all know how that turned out, don't we?
  • October 9, 2005: Thatkidsam decides to create the "classic forum game" Have a H*R Character Respond to Above Poster's Sig, the second game on the forum. It is unique in that to this day, it is still being replied to, henceforth claiming the record of Oldest Created Post Which Is Still Being Replied To. It also scores points for mentioned "JIBNEY" in the first post, a hilarious inside joke at the time.
  • October 10, 2005: 20X6 Bubs game is created by Kaiser, allowing people to add on whatever crazy thing they would like to 20X6 Bubs (who was named Bubs, Octubs and Bubsuke throughout the topic). Completely forgotten by everybody when it died out in within three weeks and 24 replies (except for a brief bump in 2007 which destroyed any credibility the topic had), it is a prime example of a Fun & Games topic not being blown to suckage by crappy not-thought-out posts.
QUOTE (Conchris @ October 29, 2005)
Bubsuke is an alien with blue claws who can fly because he wears a hydrogen-powered jetpack and he has a laser gun that shoots radioactive rocks, mutant Gokul pudding, cyber E. Coli and chili dogs. The chili dogs are poisonous, but he eats them anyway, causing himself to mutate into a floating octopus with lungs and gills, but he can come up to the air and.... destroy stuff. Instead of Bubs' Conssesion Stand he owns Bubsuke's Shop Place. He also has green and blue gloves that allows him to pierce others, but he pierces himself anyway because that is part of his daily diet of DOOM, witch consists of hot dogs, corn dogs, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, salmonella, and catsup. He relies on the help of HOMbots and killer assassin ketchup dogs. He has a shield of Powdered Barbeque-smothered Doughnuts which are made by the Friggin' Donut King AKA Some Kinda Fricking Nerd who lives down the lane in 20X8. He also has a sensor that can detect foul chickens. He has a lot of sidekicks, including the superpowerful SBU BIRDFLYINGTHINGY. His laser gun can also change into a boomerang that can cause "Server Not Found" attacks to anyone who touches it.
  • October 21, 2005: Labeled as "another fun game" by Shim-Sham-Sam, Have a H*R Character Re: to Above Poster's Avatar was created, the second game of the genre "Have a H*R Character Reply to Something". The topic is also still being replied to to this day, and almost none of the posts within the first 20 pages are relevant due to everybody changing their avatar between now and then.

Super Sam's posts were the exception.
  • October 24, 2005: A monument to people's desire to post nothing, spam because they can and they go completely insane, the Crazy Go Nuts Thread has gone through over 180 pages (and counting) in two and a half years. Out-posting the second most posted-in thread by over 1,000 posts, Chwoka's creation was seen as a huge mistake by all of mankind. Once people got the hang of posting without an actual topic (dun dun duuuuuun), the topic shot off like a rocket. The activity when it was first created was nothing compared to current posting activities, with the 10th page created only after 19 months had passed. This is quite possibly a testament to the third-gens ability to post about nothing constructive ever.

Anyway a whole new fanstuff could be created simply based on this topic so nothing more will be said. Please note that approximately 150% of inside jokes originated in this topic.
QUOTE (Shwoo @ September 22, 2007)
What's going on in here? What happened to the obsessive group of nerds that document my every move?

The wiki is down, yo.

Oh, the wiki... Right, right.

I think they're maintaining the server or something. Sorry about that.

What are you sorry for? It's my wiki.

I don't think they're doing it because of you, Homestar

What, you think everyone wants to read about bike thief? That's a laugh.

Hey, shut up! The bike thief is cool.

Well, I think I found the problem. Someone tried to cram-a-lam a forced meme into the forum.

Oh really...

What are you looking at me for? I didn't... Wah!

(System report: This is real. Everything is fine. Nothing is ruined)

So Bubs... What are you going to do with that forced meme?

    • Update, September 19, 2010: The Crazy Go Nuts Thread has now surpassed 700 pages in 5 years. Just thought you'd like to know.
