The big burn/1

{the movie starts at dot's room. albino is helping dot out with her homework. zorax is holding his homework, copying the answers. It cuts again to zoos living room. Zoo,marissa, and nicholas are all there. marissa's reading by the hearth, zoo's starting a game of life with nicholas.}

ZOO977: {talkng to nicholas} Yeah, I dont know what would happen if we were tiny plastic people!

NICHOLAS: Well, our biggest fear would be any animal.

ZOO977: {spinning the wheel} Yeah.

{marissa puts her book next to the fire place, and stands up}

MARISSA: Ima go make some cheese and crackers. {walks offscreen.}

{the spinner stops spinning, and zoo moves his peice. as this happens. marissas book begins fading to a brown, and tilting lower. marissa comes back with a plate of orange crackers. she sets them down, and touches the book}

MARISSA: OW! {tilts her head slightly} Um... guys?

ZOO977: SSSH! Im busy deciding wether to go to college or not.

MARISSA: And I'm deciding to save my life. RUN! {runs off screen}

NICHOLAS: What was that about? {suddenly, fire begins spreading quickly, and the book burns and melts}

ZOO977: Now we know! {puts on his backpack, gets a suprised face} June! Sam! {runs up the stairs.}

NICHOLAS: {grabs his backpack, his viola, and a cooler, runs offscreen}

{cuts to dots room. zoo runs in, and grabs his flute and telescope, and runs out}

DOT: {questioning} What?

ALBINO: I dunno. Hey, I'll be right back. {tries to open the door. a bit of brass melts out the side.} Um... We're locked in.

ZORAX: {rolling his eyes, speaking sarcastically} Joy.

{suddenly, a huge flame burst out of the floor.everyone screams}

DOT: We need to escape!

ZORAX: Jump out the window!

ALBINO: We want to live, not die a different way!

ZORAX: Oh.

{suddenly, the floor snaps, and everyone slides toard the completely burning living room, as they scream. zorax stops.}

ZORAX: Wait, why should I be scared? I can float over the flames!

{the three fall through the hole. quickly cuts to in front of the burning house. Everyone has a bakcpack and a wallet. Nicholas has his viola and a cooler. Zoo has his flute and telescope. Marissa has plenty of books and pillows. She's holding her cell phone}

MARISSA: Hello? 9-1-1? Our house is on fire! {pause} We're {a cut out shows the fire department down the street} On the same street! It should be easy to find!

{she closes her phone. firetrucks arive immediatly. Many firemen rush in, as others drench the house, and zorax floats out the window.}

NICHOLAS: You're okay!

ZORAX: Yep! Although a few things arent.

MARISSA: Like what?

ZORAX: Let see... Some beds, zoos old computer, and a vacation photo, for example. Oh, and albino and dot.

MARISSA AND NICHOLAS: What?!?

{as nicholas and marissa ell, zoo is dazed, and waddles around. he faints, breaking and falling through the sewer grate, with a significant crash.}

NICHOLAS: DOT! ALBINO! {quickly goes into the house}

MARISSA: And he's gone!

{cuts to inside a burning hallway. A fireman spots him}

FIREMAN: You need to get outside!

NICHOLAS: My friends are i-

{zoo zooms by, at a suprising speed}

ZOO977: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

{a zoo runs up the stairs, nicholas and the fireman stare at him blankly}

NICHOLAS: The longer I stare, the blanker my expression gets.

{cuts to dots room, the desk stuck on the crack. zoo jumps on it}

ZOO977: Dot! Albino!

{a cough is heard}

ZOO977: Guys? {hangs upside down on the desk. a change of screen shows dot and albino still holding onto the boards} You're alright!

DOT: Help us!

'{zoo reaches out and grabs dots invisible arm. but, he slips off the desk. albino grabs zoo, but he lets go. the three fall onto the burning couch. cuts to nicholas, marissa, an zorax witing outside of a room. a dicter comes out}

DOCTER: We have some good news and bad news.

MARISSA: Whats the good news?

DOCTER: We were able to heal zoo977.

ZORAX: And the bad?

DOCTER: We weren't able to find dot or albino.

{the three gasp}

NICHOLAS: Ma-may we see zoo?

DOCTER: Sure. {walks into the room. A light burn can be seen faintly.

ZOO977: Hey guys!

{cuts to an apartment. zoo, marissa, nicholas, and zorax are putting things away}

ZOO977: Have either of you seen dot or albino?

NICHOLAS: We've been meaning to tell you... We think they are dead.

{zoo laughs}

ZOO977: Look, we all fell into the same urning area. It's very likely their still alive.

MARISSA: But they weren't even found.

ZOO977: They evacuated then!

ZORAX: The wrong way?

NICHOLAS: Well, we left after zoo came out in the ambulence. They could have.

MARISSA: Name one person who can live in fi-

NICHOLAS, ZOO977, AND ZORAX: {in unisen} X on fire.

MARISSA: Is he either of them?

ZOO977: Look, you can beleive their dead, I know their alive.

ZORAX: Then why not go and find them?

ZOO977: Good idea! {grab a miniature cooler, his backpack, flute, and telescope, runs out of the room}

ZORAX: {yelling} I was being sarcastic!

MARISSA: Well, we've lost him!
