{Open: the Living Room. Casey, Jerry and SkullB are on the couch. Jerry and Casey are sweating, while SkullB's body is emitting smoke.}

SKULLB: Oh, God... it's so hot out!

JERRY: I know. 100 degrees out!

CASEY: Haven't we already done this plot?

JERRY: Good point.

{Pause.}

SKULLB: You know what we should do?

JERRY: What?

SKULLB: We should go to the beach!

JERRY: Huh. Another plot regurgitated from every cartoon show.

SKULLB: Oh, like we haven't done that before.

{Cue theme song.}

{Cut: a beach. Everyone is there. Jerry, Casey, and Fran are in swimwear. SkullB looks normal.}

SKULLB: Ah, the beach. Nowhere else will you find fat, pasty tourists in more numbers.

JERRY: Enough cynical outlooks on life, let's hit the water!

{Jerry runs toward the water. As soon as he hits the water, he jumps back.}

JERRY: AAH! Cold!

CASEY: Wuss.

{Casey runs right into the water. She stays there.}

CASEY: Once you get used to the limb-numbing cold, it feels nice in here!

SKULLB: Hey, let me try!

{SkullB drives into the water. Suddenly, he starts sinking.}

SKULLB: Guys? Can you- can you help me?

{SkullB sinks beneath the surface.}

FRAN: Skully?! Skully, are you okay?

JERRY: Eh.

FRAN: What do you mean, "eh"?! He's drowning!

JERRY: He's fine. He's a robot! Besides, he's waterproof. He'll find his way out.

{Cut: the sea floor. SkullB floats gently to the bottom and lands.}

SKULLB: Huh. I thought I would have landed a lot closer to the shore.

{A starfish crawls by and latches onto SkullB.}

SKULLB: Oh, what's this? Well hey, little fella! What's your name?

{Pause.}

SKULLB: I'll call you Sticky. You and I will be travelling through the deep blue, trying to get back home! Although I'm certain you don't have one, I do! And I need to get back home!

{The starfish wriggles.}

SKULLB: I'll take that as a yes!

{Cut: the beach. Jerry, Casey and Fran are sunbathing.}

JERRY: I don't get it--why are we lying in the sun when we came here to beat the heat?

CASEY: Because I possess the ability to rope you into doing anything I wish?

JERRY: Ah. That makes sense.

FRAN: Hey, who's that?

JERRY: Who?

{A muscled man walks over.}

MUSCLES: Hey, stickman!

JERRY: Are you talking to me?

MUSCLES: Yep! What are you doing here?

JERRY: Trying to develop a tan. But I can't, now that you're standing over me. Looks like I'll be getting a moron-shaped tan today.

MUSCLES: Heh! Tough, are you?

{Muscles starts kicking sand into Jerry's face. Jerry is eventually buried in sand after about ten seconds.}

MUSCLES: Heh! I'm such an ass!

{Muscles walks over to Casey.}

MUSCLES: Hey, baby. Hows about you and me?

CASEY: Hows about you finish high school English, stupid?

MUSCLES: Heh, you haven't fallen for me yet. But you will!

{Casey stands up.}

CASEY: You're right. I will. Come here, big boy!

JERRY: Casey?!

{Muscles bends over to kiss Casey. Suddenly, Casey grabs a handful of sand and shoves it into Muscles' mouth.}

MUSCLES: Gh- kh-

{Muscles coughs the sand out of his mouth.}

MUSCLES: Aah! What the hell?

CASEY: By the by... I'm married.

{Muscles mopes and ambles off.}

MUSCLES: How did she know I failed high school?

JERRY: Casey... you're awesome.

CASEY: Think I don't know that already?

{Cut: the sea floor. SkullB is still driving across the sea floor, the starfish still stuck to his side.}

SKULLB: Ah, look at the sea. When you see it this closely, you can truly admire its beauty!

{Suddenly, SkullB drives over a stingray. The stingray whacks SkullB in the face several times with its tail.}

SKULLB: Ow! OW! OOOOW! Son of a-

{The stingray swims away. Before leaving the scene, the stingray looks back at SkullB with a malicious stare.}

SKULLB: God I hate the ocean. But I still like you, Sticky.

{Cut: the beach. Jerry and Fran are on surfboards. Jerry is latching onto his carefully, while Fran is sitting on hers.}

FRAN: So that's how you surfboard!

JERRY: Okay, okay. But what happens if I fall off? Will I fall off? Will a shark get me? What if a shark gets me? What do I do? Wh-

FRAN: Hold on, here comes a wave!

{Both Fran and Jerry are picked up by the massive wave. Fran starts surfing like a pro, while Jerry struggles to keep standing on his board.}

JERRY: AAAAAAAAAAAA-

FRAN: Woooo-hooooooo! This is awesome!

JERRY: -AAAAAAAAAAAA-

FRAN: Can you feel the adrenaline rushing through your veins?

JERRY: -AAAAAAAAAA-

{The two surf into the tube of the wave. Jerry is still screaming, while Fran is skimming the water gracefully.}

FRAN: Yeeaaaaah-ha-ha-ha! Jerry, how are you doing?

JERRY: -AAAAAAAAAAAA-

{Suddenly, an R2 unit and a Dalek surf by.}

DALEK: RAD-I-CAL!

R2-D2: Wooooooaaaaaaaah!

FRAN: ... Huh.

{Cut: the sea floor. SkullB is driving very slowly now, and he looks tired.}

SKULLB: Sticky... I can't go on much longer... fuel running low... speaking in short bursts...

{The starfish crawls onto SkullB's dashboard and hits a button. Suddenly, SkullB's tires retract into his body and an air cushion pops out from under him. He starts to float back to the surface.}

SKULLB: Hey... what's this? I'm turning into a hovercraft! Oh, Sticky! You always know what to do!

{SkullB eventually surfaces. Suddenly, he's picked up by the wave from before.}

SKULLB: Woah! Awesome!

FRAN: I know! Hang ten, man!

{The two skim the waves, expertly. Jerry follows behind, grabbing his board for dear life.}

JERRY: -AAAAAAAAAAAAA-

{The three finish surfing and hit the shore. SkullB turns back into a buggy.}

JERRY: Wait... when could you do that?

SKULLB: When my starfish friend hit a button in my back!

{The starfish crawls onto SkullB's head.}

SKULLB: Oh, Sticky! You're such a pal!

JERRY: Skully, you can't take him with you.

SKULLB: Wh... why not?

JERRY: He lives in the ocean! He'll die out here!

SKULLB: Oh. Well, Sticky... I guess this is goodbye.

{SkullB walks over to the ocean and places the starfish in the ocean.}

CASEY: {offscreen} Come on, Skully! It's time to leave!

SKULLB: Just... wait.

{SkullB looks at the starfish.}

SKULLB: Sticky... I'll remember you forever. You'll always be my shiny star.

{SkullB drives away, slowly. A second later, he looks back at the starfish. The starfish stands upright and waves at him. SkullB grins, and starts to cry.}

JERRY: Jeez. It's a starfish. Grow up.

SKULLB: He was a better friend than you were!

{Cue credits.}
