I wanted to hang out with Ted, Dane, and their circle of friends. They seemed keen to mostly run D&D 5th Edition, so I had to come up with something for that system. As a reuslt, I conjured up another Evil boi under the impression that, this time, it would actually be appropriate. His name was Cherontia Jedo, and part of him was made specifically with a moth theme. This was for a homebrew universe, and I also didn't want to make an Arcane Trickster rogue because that did not vibe with me. Honestly, I saw him as more of a Rogue (Assassin) than anything else, but some Abjuration magic would have been handy to wield.
To gel with the universe at large, he was a young teen trained to be an assassin for a few years. Before a specific noble got exiled from his former kingdom, Jedo slew the noble's political opponents and worked under said noble's board of directors. This board of directors also included a conspiracy that involved using arcane magic, which in the setting was rare, and he had a Sage friend who would give him not only his targets for assassination, but also a spellbook.
Trying to gel with an Apostle who was trying to become the Big Bad meant that PvP was an inevitability. I ended up breaking off from the others in the Evil campaign, and there was going to be a way to split the group off into two so that another player who had left (for reasons that I remember as being schedule-related) could join back in, if desired. To show that I understood the scope of how bad PvP could get, I told the guys about my previous experience with tabletop PvP (that being the one Vampire the Requiem campaign that went to hell because of both a Goth girl's pet PC, and a VII-ite Munchkin PC made by a guy who hated Vampire's tone/themes)
The game got cancelled because the GM was too busy with stuff, and we all pitched in to try and help him with his situations at-large.
