Ah, the Mongrels. Fascinating little guys, quite adorable as well. It is said that they used to inhabit the Vega star system, having came in colors of red, blue, yellow, and green, and were quite peaceful and friendly, rather nonviolent, but, alas. Over half of the ones inhabiting Vega are dead and the rest escaped, to who knows where? Extensive examinations on Mongrels by the galaxies suggest that Mongrels are a recent and new evolution of lifeforms found on Vega Prime, a place of some awfully terrifying buggers, but who really knows?

• Rob: Friend of Wade. Presumed dead. He's a blue Mongrel.
• Dave: Minion-for-hire. He's a sexy red Mongrel.
