The 'mane' cast

My Little Pony has become famous and infamous on the internet recently. It's been describes as "another cancer that's killing /b/", "the greatest show I've ever watched", and "What show even is that?", illustrating all the sides the fans and haters take.

The show has been well known for it's smooth animation, fun cast of characters, and pleasant songs said characters sing. Despite being for little girls, it is most watched by boys in high school and college. This popularity is exactly why is is known as the cancer that is killing /b/. Many of /b/'s users are/were fans, and began posting ponies all over the various boards over 4chan. Eventually, /b/'s creator began banning users who posted ponies like that.

This has split websites like /b/ into two main portions: haters and fans. A quick note to everyone out there; unless someone give you some reason you can't refute proving the hate the show or like the show, don't believe them. There have been some cases where someone pretended to like/hate the show, got into a website of people who actually like/hate the show, and have spammed shock images all over it. Not exactly the most pleasant thing.

Back to the show at hand, the show is great at being humorous without being childish. The animation is incredible, and the story lines are obviously well thought out. This isn't the kind of show they make up as they go along. Even so, there are some rather large animations errors scattered around the show, such as the infamous "glitch pony". Plus, some of the characters laugh at the jokes, making the show somewhat awkward to watch.

Overall, despite being somewhat awkward to admit watching, the show itself is fairly good. Just don't tell /b/ or Chwoka you're a fan.
