Transcript

{Cut to the parking lot of Middleton High School, a grey car parks into one of the spaces}

ARUSEUS: {voiceover} After getting used to my new found ability, I returned to school after two weeks of being gone. People were shocked to see me not in a wheelchair or on crutches, hell, people were even surprised to see me alive. However, what made me nervous was another thing that might shock them.

{Cut to a shot of Aruseus walking through the halls, various voices are heard talking to each other}

???: Aruseus! Wait up!

{All of a sudden, Aruseus is almost knocked over by a humanoid Lucario wearing a jacket}

ARUSEUS: Woah there! I just got out of surgery and...Lucas?

LUCAS: Man, that accident must've took a lot out of ya.

ARUSEUS: Careful with me. Let's just say...my body's pretty...fragile.

LUCAS: I can understand, recovering from a car accident. How're you still walking fine?

ARUSEUS: Look, it's hard to explain-WAH! *thud*

{Aruseus trips}'

ARUSEUS: SHIT!

LUCAS: Hey man, are you okay and uh...

{Lucas notices Aruseus' halves are separated; him and other students stare}

ARUSEUS: {looks at them} What?! Never seen a modular before?

LUCAS: I...I sure haven't...

ARUSEUS: WHAT?! But...Fang! Zarel?

LUCAS: They sound familiar, but I vaguely remember.

ARUSEUS: Come ON, Lucas!

OTHER STUDENT: Lucas, what are you doing around this freak? Class is gonna start!

LUCAS: ...o-o-Okay... {runs off}

ARUSEUS: Lucas? LUCAS! Come on, man!

ARUSEUS: {voiceover} And so it was revealed. The secret I was hiding got out. I was then thought of as a freak, a misfit, an outcast. I'm the only known modular in my school. But what of Lucas? How come he didn't remember anything? Wait...Zarel and Fang were a part of his old life, which is why he must not have remembered...but if he forgot about them, then why do I remember them? Perhaps...I'll meet them soon?

{The time is 3:00 PM, Dismissal. Aruseus opens his locker to find a note. He opens it}

ARUSEUS: {reading} Meet me in the courtyard ASAP. {stops} There's no signature here, but just a paw print...hm...

???: Hey! What're you doing with me?!

ARUSEUS: Huh?

{Aruseus looks to see three senior kids who have a Lugia kid, about Aruseus' age and sporting a tan shirt with Mega Man on it, in a headlock}

SENIOR 1: We're gonna take ya apart and clog all the bathroom toilets with ya!

SENIOR 2: Hehe, yeah! Then we're gonna bring your head to the basketball game and use you as the ball!

SENIOR 3: Hehe! And by the way, classic Mega Man sucks, Mega Man X is better!

SENIOR 1: ...just shut up, Mark...

ARUSEUS: Hey, what the hell are you doing to him?

LUCIAN: I swear! I am NOT take-apart!

SENIOR 2: Bullshit! We saw your foot detached in class before!

ARUSEUS: Let go of him!

SENIOR 1: Hey! It's the kid we saw split in half this morning! Let's get him!

LUGIA: Look out! These guys are tough!

{The three seniors come at Aruseus, he runs at them as well. He splits in half, lower half slides to trip one of them, while the upper leaps off of the others. After reattaching, Aruseus does a rolling tackle at one, turns around, and knocks out the other by throwing his head at him.}

LUGIA: Woah...I never knew you could do that with modularity!

ARUSEUS: Hey, all that football practice paid off for something else!

LUGIA: Thanks there. I lied about not being modular...but now I actually have a modular friend! My name's Lucian Summers. Nice to meet you.

ARUSEUS: Aruseus Parker. Glad to meet you too.

{They shake hands, though when they let go their hands fall off, the two stare for a second and then burst out laughing, they reattach their hands}

LUCIAN: Hey, is that a note? I got one too. Looks like it's some sort of modular meeting.

ARUSEUS: Hopefully not a lynching...

LUCIAN: Well, we should go. I wonder what will happen.

{The two enter the courtyard. They see a staircase going down into a sort of basement. They see a grey wolf sporting a black jacket beckoning to them}

LUCIAN: That must be the sender of the note.

ARUSEUS: Hey! I know that guy!
