Character Profile

  • NAME: Hank "The Lampshade" Johnson
  • AGE: 32
  • SEX: Male
  • NATIONALITY: American
  • DESCRIPTION: The Lampshade is the "costume" of the Brotherhood. He wears a pastel blue- and pink-colored suit -- presumably a pair of his pajamas, due to the cotton fiber. On his head, he wears a lampshade with a bar cut out to serve as a way to see. Blue, rubber gloves and blue wellingtons cover his extremities. He wears a blue, towel-like cape.
  • BIOGRAPHY: The Lampshade was born a normal, American man. He went to a public high school. He got an office job. He never married, but he was going to. You bet he was. However, all this changed one fateful day...

The time? December 31, 1999. New Year's Eve. The place? Land Future Insurance Offices in Horseshoe Park, IL. The occasion? A New Year's party. Everybody was invited... including one Mr. Hank Johnson. The party was great -- and alcohol was plentiful. Mr. Johnson, especially, had a bit too much. He started to black out, and before he knew it, he succumbed to alcohol poisoning.

He didn't wake up for more than a week. By the time he opened his eyes, he saw nothing but blackness. The fact of the matter was that he had left a lampshade on his head that, in the week he was out cold, somehow merged with his head. Try as he might, Mr. Johnson couldn't remove it. This made him incredibly angry -- fueling his hatred to high levels. He swore to use his newfound mask to make himself a super-villain.

The mask makes the villain, of course.

  • ABILITIES:
    • Gadgetry - Despite being completely lame, The Lampshade has an inkling of technical ability. He crafts his own gadgets -- not all of them working, per se. He carries many of them with him.
  • QUOTE: "I am the blinds, keeping the light of justice out of your home! I am... The Lampshade!"
