BLUEBRY: {to himself} If you are using analog cords, make sure the colors of the male and female connectors both match up (i.e. red to red, yellow to yellow, white to white).

{Zoom out to show that Bluebry is setting up a new television. It is a CRT screen, nothing very special.}

BLUEBRY: I am not using analog though, I am using S-video.

{Bluebry flips the page on the manual}

BLUEBRY: I mean, is there anything special I need to do? I am afraid of putting the wrong end in and it blowing back in my face.

{Bluebry fingers through the page to try to find the S-video setup guide}

BLUEBRY: Here we go. It says I should just plug it in.

{Bluebry stares at the cord for several seconds. As this happens slow droplets of water can be heard to drip off in the distance. This represents God's influence on the elements.}

Bluebry wishes he had television to watch while he works, but he does not.

BLUEBRY: I wish I had television.

{Bluebry remembers he has a cheap portable television in the garage. He fetches it and sets it up as a temporary television.}

BLUEBRY: Let's watch some public access.

{Bluebry attempts to turn it to public access, but is unable to get a strong enough signal.}

BLUEBRY: I am willing to settle for ABC.

{Bluebry turns it to ABC. The local news is playing. It is talking about illegal immigration and other contemporary Hispanic issues within the North Texas community.}

BLUEBRY: I wish I was informed enough to have an opinion.

{A man on the news is wearing a T-shirt displaying the slogan "2 legit 2 quit"}

"I wonder what that man is too legit to quit for," Bluebry thought subconsciously.

{Bluebry finally decides to take the leap and plug in the S-video cord he has been too afraid to.}

BLUEBRY: I am okay if this backfires because I have this portable television set up.

"I wish it could get public access, though," Bluebry thought, but quickly shook this out of his mind. "Do not be greedy, be content with what you have."

{Bluebry turns the television on. A screen appears that spells out "Warming up..." in cold blue letters.}

{Suddenly, Soulja Boy appears on the television.}

SOULJA BOY TELL EM: SOULJA BOY UP IN THIS HO WATCH ME CRANK IT WATCH ME ROLL

{Bluebry starts doing the Soulja Boy dance before he realizes it.}

THE END

The Joke

  • The cable package Bluebry selected does not include Showtime.
