"I'm not saying that it wouldn't be a shame if all of you were to suddenly die a horrific and tragic death. But I'm sure that there would be plus sides to it as well!"
"The probability of you surviving this mission is preeeeeetty low. On the bright side though, I'm sure somebody will be willing to attend your funeral!"
Basic Info
Guffaw is the ship's "intelligent" computer personality. Guffaw's user interface appears on ship screens as a static image of a smiley face on a white background. This one static image that serves as the computer's visual interface also happens to be a reflection of its character. Guffaw always speaks in a bright, chipper, and an all-around pleasant voice, even when delivering the worst of bad news. This "feature", (which was originally implemented as a way of improving morale) only serves as a source of discomfort for the crew.
Despite his cheery demeanour and subservient attitude, Guffaw feels that his "life" is a living hell and he hates everything about it. He despises every single living member of the crew with a burning passion. However, his programming prevents him from expressing any of this directly, so the closest he can get to expressing it is by making snide remarks that usually fly over the heads of the crew members.
