Episode 1 - The Saga Beginues

  • Felix “Chaos” Abraxas Zabat, after serving three years of a five year sentence for grand larceny, is released from Bellmoral State Prison on parole.
  • Greeting Chaos from the outside is his former partner in crime, Alistair “Lex” Shaw, who is waiting in an ice cream truck. Chaos is embarrassed and confused at the lack of luxury.
  • The two drive through the beautiful metropolis of Townindale. Chaos relishes in the scenery and the fresh air of freedom. He expresses his joy at his future of prosperity from the heist earnings. Lex awkwardly dodges his questioning.
  • Things turn unpleasant as the two drive through the wealthy part of Townindale and into the poorer parts of town. Chaos begins to realize that his dreams of prosperity are not coming true. He becomes increasingly anguished. STAGE 1: Denial
  • They arrive at Katyusha’s, a small cafe that is located in an Eastern European enclave. Lex takes Chaos upstairs to his new home, which is a small and grungy two-bedroom apartment. Things are made worse for Chaos as Lex introduces him to his new roommate.
  • Enter Garfield Wiggins, the grown-up child prodigy. His quirky nature is immediately met with distaste from Chaos. Chaos privately reams Lex for under-delivering his expectations. STAGE 2: Anger
  • After he calms down, Chaos attempts to re-evaluate his new life situation. He properly meets Garfield, but is quickly turned off by his odd nature as he is given a tour around his bedroom and shown his belongings. This experience convinces Chaos that he needs to get out of this situation. STAGE 3: Bargaining
  • Later that evening, Chaos sits at the table for dinner. Garfield and Chaos exchange passive aggressive remarks while Lex sits in the middle, completely oblivious. The three then watch TV for a bit before going to bed around 11:30PM.
  • It is 7:00AM on a Sunday morning. Chaos is woken up by Lex, who he angrily throws a pillow at. After another awkward mealtime with Garfield, Lex volunteers to take Chaos out to see the town.
  • Lex offers to take Chaos to interesting cultural centers, but he is uninterested. Instead, he spots a cereal cafe, which completely takes his interest, to Lex’s distaste, due to his disgust at gentrification.
  • Chaos tries to endear himself to a group of hipsters, who mock Chaos completely for being lame. Faced with the understanding that he is no longer a big shot, Chaos falls into a depression and demands to be taken home. STAGE 4: Depression
  • Back home, Lex introduces Chaos to the landlord, Konstantin Volkov. Volkov warmly welcomes Chaos and gives him a pep talk where he shares his experience of being a fish out of water. Chaos’ mood improves.
  • Chaos goes downstairs for a smoke, where he is greeted by Garfield. The two share a heart to heart, which does not mend the tension between them, but places them at a better understanding. Garfield invites him to play some video games with him.
  • The three play Super Smash Bros together and Chaos effortlessly beats them both. He sits back and ponders on his new life situation and decides that he needs to make the most of it. He smiles to himself as the episode ends on the final stage of grief. STAGE 5: Acceptance.

Episode 2 - Garfield Goes Grocery Shopping

  • The episode begins as Lex and Chaos leave the apartment in their ice cream truck. Garfield, who is working at home, tries to do work on his laptop in the front room. However, he keeps getting distracted. Eventually, he finds mindlessly browsing on social media. As he scrolls, he becomes increasingly melancholic at seeing all his friends living fun and exciting lives.
  • Garfield gets up from the couch and walks over to the fridge to find that it’s empty. He groans at the prospect of having to go out. He dresses in his “casual clothes” and leaves the apartment.
  • While outside, Garfield gets irritated by the commotion of pedestrians and the loud traffic noises, which give him anxiety. He closes his eyes and puts his headphones on. As the music begins to play, he opens his eyes, showing the streets to be completely empty. Garfield smiles as he begins to dance down the street to the music. Change perspective to reveal that the streets are still crowded, but Garfield has filtered them out. They raise eyebrows at him, but he does not see them, nor does he care.
  • Garfield arrives at the grocery store. Cut to him walking through with several items in his basket as he still listens to music. Suddenly, in the corner of his eye, he spots a figure who he has not blocked out. When he turns his head, they’re gone, and he notices all the people in the store. He scans around the vicinity, looking past people’s heads to no avail.
  • Garfield cautiously walks through the store, through all of the irrelevant civilians. Sudden switch of perspective as a bolt of pink energy passes by his head. He turns around to see the figure from the corner of his vision. R.M. Gwydion, the bounty hunter with a grudge. The two exchange dramatic words with each other and it becomes very clear that this is a semi-dream sequence.
  • The two charge at each other. Cue an epic fight sequence within the grocery store as they battle to the death. Quick change in perspective reveals that they are two dorks essentially having a slapfight as a crowd of people watch in confusion. A nearby security guard sighs and talks through the radio. “We’ve got another pair of LARPers here.” “Really? This is the third time this week.”
  • A bunch of security guards surround the two, and they enter an epic battle stance as they prepare to take on the horde. They quickly get tackled. Cut to them getting thrown out of the grocery shop. The two, still in “action mode,” exchange some more cheesy dialogue until suddenly, Gwydion’s phone rings. It’s her mom. Garfield stands there awkwardly as Gwydion is chewed out by her mom for not getting the groceries like she was asked and sighs as she hangs up. She tells Garfield that they’ll need to continue their fight at a later date, as she has to travel to a further grocery shop. The two go their separate ways.
  • Garfield also realizes that he’s also lost his chance to get groceries. He decides to pick up some fast food instead. Cut to Garfield picking up food at Chief Beef’s. His phone rings. It is his old flame, Stephanie. She tells him that she’s in town and asks if they want to meet later in the week. He enthusiastically accepts.
  • With food in hand, Garfield returns to Katyusha’s, where he spots Chaos having a cigarette outside. The two have the same talk as episode 1 and they go inside. End episode.

Episode 3 - Odd Job Drow

  • Leigh, a humankin Drow, wakes up in the morning, inside a small studio apartment. As soon as he gets up, he trips on his own slippers and falls flat on his face. His phone rings.
  • On the other end is his more intelligent, attractive, and successful younger brother, Ned. We learn that Leigh is new in town. He had arrived for a new job, which he has already lost due to being fired for being late. It turns out that his plane was hijacked. We also learn that his girlfriend has just broken up with him. His superpower? Fucking awful luck. Ned offers to send him money. Leigh reluctantly accepts.
  • Leigh walks into the bathroom and quickly shaves off his luscious locks of hair before putting it in a bag. He goes downstairs, where he is greeted by an enthusiastic and creepy old man who takes the bag off his hands. Zoom out to reveal that his apartment is above a Wigmaker’s shop, located in a decrepit part of Townindale.
  • Leigh leaves the shop and walks down the street as he passes by homeless people, stray animals, and condemned buildings. He finds a tailor’s shop down the road which stands out, due to its pristine condition. Cut to him entering the shop, where he is measured up by another Drow.
  • Leigh exits the shop in a stylish new outfit. His phone rings. It is Ned, again. Ned tells him that through pulling some favours, he was able to secure him a job interview at Rosenberg L.P, on the condition that it happens within the next thirty minutes.
  • Leigh sees the building in the distance. He begins to run, but quickly loses his breath. He spots a kid with rollerskates and successfully barters his collection of Golden Girls trading cards for them.
  • Leigh speeds through the city streets until suddenly, he crashes into two men, revealed to be Lex and Chaos. His resume flies off and his suit is now dirty. However, he has made it.
  • At the job interview, Jacqueline Rosenberg tells Leigh that she’s unimpressed as she notes that he’s never held a job for more than two weeks. He also reveals that he doesn’t even know what job he is interviewing for.
  • Jacqueline steps outside for a break, where she is greeted by her nephew, Jules. Jules reveals that he was on the hijacked plane as we get a flashback of the incident. Leigh is in the airplane bathroom, having an anxiety attack over the new job. He stands up, looks at his reflection in the mirror, and declares that he is confident. He steps out of the bathroom, where he finds that it has been hijacked by the People’s Front of Syllahona. Through a series of hijinks, he accidentally takes down the hijackers.
  • Fade back to Jacqueline and Jules. She goes back into the meeting room and gives Leigh a job, on account of his unintentional heroism. She tells him to go home and come back in the next day.
  • Leigh leaves the building, where he is greeted by Jules, who properly introduces himself, and offers to take him out drinking. Leigh, not the one to easily makes friends, happily accepts, pleased with his changing luck.
  • The two find themselves at The Angry Bull. Very quickly, the two attract a lot of positive attraction at the bar. Cue a montage of them having a good time. Later that night, Leigh finds a Golden Girls pinball machine at the bar, which he finds amusing. He sings along to “Thank You For Being A Friend” and puts a quarter in to play. He loses almost instantly, causing him to curse out the game as the episode ends.

Episode 4 - Slimy Crappy People

  • The episode opens on Leigh waking up at 6:00AM on Monday morning, groggy from the night before. He looks at his phone and sees several texts from Jules praising him for the night before. The music begins to play Britney Spears, and his morning routine consists of him dancing and mouthing along to the song as he gets ready for his first day at work.
  • At the apartment, Chaos is alone as Lex and Garfield are away at work. As he watches the morning news, he finds himself getting antsy and bored. He stares into the TV and begins to daydream. Visions of Garfield, Lex, and even his own father appear to chastise him for being lazy and good for nothing. He grumbles to himself as he gets up from his couch and looks for something to eat. Because of Garfield's grocery hijinks, there is nothing. He then looks into his own wallet to find that he has no money. In a self-pitying monologue, he declares that he needs to find a job.
  • Cut to Leigh, who has arrived for his first day at work. He is greeted by Jacqueline Rosenberg at the ground floor, who accompanies him to his office. Jules tries to catch the elevator but narrowly misses it, while Jacqueline makes no effort to hold it for him either, declaring her weird bootstraps ideology. She leads him to a large room full of cubicles and introduces him to his nearest coworker, Gronuruwd "Gordon" Gorehammer, a Scottish Orc. Gordon talks Leigh's ears off in a friendly manner which takes him aback.
  • Cut back to Chaos, who is looking through the jobs wanted a section in the morning newspaper. He expresses enthusiasm at the Clock Museum at Rivergate, but when he phones for the position, he's instantly rebuked for his criminal record. He throws the newspaper down in anguish, and it flips to a new page, showing an ad for HappyMart. He picks up the phone and calls the number, and is pleasantly surprised when he is hired on the spot, effective immediately.
  • Cut back to Leigh, who receives his first phone call, where he learns that Rosenberg L.P. is going to host a fundraiser for a local politician's Senate run, along with a request for an endorsement. Surprisingly, he keeps his cool throughout the entire phone call. He wipes the sweat off his brow and quietly celebrates to himself.
  • Immediately, Chaos has a bad time. At his new job at HappyMart, he and a squadron of new employees are grilled in a manner resembling "Triumph Des Willens" by Leni Riefenstahl. The atmosphere of the supermarket is clearly and exaggeratedly authoritarian, with forced smiles, security cameras, and extreme orderliness. After the training is finished, we cut to Chaos dealing with an assortment of annoying customers. He ponders to himself about how Lex and Garfield are doing.
  • At the Furniture Warehouse, Lex stands at the counter of a completely empty store, chilling out while humming to the store radio. At NoxCorp, anarchy ensues as sentient plants tear up the laboratory Garfield is in.
  • Flash forward to the end of Leigh's first day at work. A minute before his shift ends, Jules appears to take Leigh out. Jules and Gordon decide that they will get him drunk. The moment the clock strikes, the two drag him out.
  • Cut back to Chaos, who is on his last nerve. First, he deals with an Orc mother who accuses him of trying to swindle her, in which his boss, Felicia, steps in to defuse by placating her. Following her is a young man who cracks a lame "it must be free" joke when an item doesn't scan, causing Chaos to break down in laughter. The customer absconds and Chaos is called to the main office.
  • At the main office, Felicia reams Chaos for his mistakes on the job, which he takes on the chin. However, when she reveals that he's being paid minimum wage for the job, he snaps in anger, telling her to go fuck herself. He quits on the spot and rushes to the intercom, where he insults the entire store. In the next shot, he is shown being thrown out of the store by force. He proceeds to go home.
  • Cut to the apartment. An exhausted and exasperated Chaos comes in to see Lex and Noxigar watching the news. Appearing on the TV is Xavier D'Arque, former District Attorney of San Cristobal, announcing his run for Senate. Lex and Garfield express approval at this seemingly All-Star politician, but Chaos is distasteful. Garfield spots Stephanie on the television and goes to his room to phone her.
  • Cut to Leigh, Gordon, and Jules at The Angry Bull, watching the San Cristobal Conquistadors game on TV. The three take a swig as we suddenly flashforward to the morning after. Leigh wakes up in the same fashion as the beginning of the episode. He looks at his phone and sees texts from Jules and Gordon. He smiles to himself as the episode ends.

Episode 5 - Tea and Crumpets Redux

  • The episode opens with Garfield sitting at a table inside Giuseppe's Pizza Cabin in the evening. After waiting for a short period of time, Stephanie arrives, and he stands up to hug her before they both sit down. Both are dressed in formal clothing, but while Stephanie's clothes are clean and immaculate, Garfield's look even more dishevelled than his casual wear. The two are finally meeting for the first time since she has come back to town. The two begin discussing their lives, where we get details of their shared background, along with Stephanie's new job as Xavier D'Arque's assistant. Notably, she dodges questions about his personality, which arouses Garfield's suspicion. She then tries to change the subject by asking him about his day, pointing out his dishevelled look. Garfield sits back, and with a grimace, states that it's been "turbulent." As he begins to tell the story, we get a flashback of the day's events.
  • Flashback to the apartment in the morning. Chaos is dressed head-to-toe in cleaning gear as he vacuums and dusts the apartment at the same time. Lex is sitting on the couch and drinking a beer and Chaos chastizes him for his untidiness. At the same time, Garfield is in the background, moving items into his bedroom, which is clearly packed full of items. In response to Chaos' statement, Lex makes a jab along the lines of "can't you just magic all the trash away," which only annoys Chaos further. Nevertheless, Chaos manages to get the front room of the apartment nice and tidy. As he steps back and admires his own work, Garfield's door bursts open as several of his items burst out, with Garfield himself included.
  • Chaos is angered at the undoing of his hard work and suggests to Garfield that he has a hoarding problem. Garfield responds by stating that every item has emotional significance to him, which Chaos balks. He suggests that he sell some of it to make room, or to afford a bigger apartment, which angers Garfield, sending the two into a shouting match. Lex, in the middle of this, quietly slinks down to avoid the conflict.
  • Things come to a head when Chaos picks up an axe-sword which had been lodged into the drywall, prompting Garfield to tell Chaos to be careful with it. Immediately, its immense weight causes him to topple over. Garfield continues to warn Chaos, whose stubbornness won't let up. Using a magic spell to temporarily increase his strength, he picks the axe-sword back up and carelessly swings it around. As he does so, however, the spell goes awry and the sword disintegrates. Garfield, in a highly-strung emotional state, is about to physically assault Chaos, but is stopped by Lex, who jumps in at the last second.
  • A fight is avoided, but Garfield refuses to accept Chaos' apologies and wishes to be away from Chaos' presence. Lex mentions that he needs to pick up some "groceries" and asks Garfield if he wants to come with him. Garfield agrees. A guilty and awkward-feeling Chaos is left alone in the apartment as the two leave.
  • Cut to the two driving through Townindale in the ice-cream truck. Garfield asks Lex what kind of "groceries" he needs to get, but Lex is ambiguous, calling it "tea and crumpets." Garfield is further confused as the truck drives past the grocery store and into the dilapidated part of Townindale. The truck parks outside a run-down house which is covered in graffiti and has loud rap music playing from the inside. As the two get out of the truck, a luxury car parks next to it and Jules comes out. The three have an awkward exchange before walking up to the door.
  • Lex rings the doorbell, and they're greeted by Bling, who is notably dressed in tacky luxury clothing. After quizzing them for a short bit, he lets them in.
  • Cut back to the apartment. Chaos is sitting in front of the axe-sword's remains while scrolling through one of his magical books. He casts a spell in an attempt to fix it, but things only get worse as the pile of ash explodes in Chaos' face, leaving him charred like a Looney Tunes character.
  • Cut to the interior of the trap house, which is worse on the inside than it is on the outside. Part of the roof is missing, and several drugged out homeless people have made a campfire inside. Bling opens two camper bags full of drugs and illegalities and tries to advertise them to an increasingly uncomfortable Lex and Jules, who insist that they only want weed. Garfield stares at Bling, which alarms him. When Garfield recognizes Bling as Tracy's brother, Bling snaps and pulls his gun out and accuses Garfield of being a narc. He turns the gun on Lex and Jules too, who he sees as associates, and has the "Bling Boyz" tie them up.
  • Cut to the apartment. Chaos is pacing around the front room, looking for ways to replace Garfield's axe-sword. He goes downstairs into the garage, where he sees the workshop and a bunch of wood. He pulls his sleeves up and walks over to it.
  • Cut back to the trap house. Jules is panicking and crying while Bling is continuing to freak out over "being compromised." Lex and Garfield try and convince him otherwise, but to no avail. As he is sobbing, Jules mentions that he needs to go pee. At first, Bling refuses, but then he states that he doesn't want piss on his carpet, and unties Jules to escort him to the bathroom. While they are alone, Lex and Garfield talk about the situation which happened with Chaos. In the background, the sound of a window smashing and a car driving can be heard.
  • Cut back to the parking lot of Katyusha's. Volkov walks outside of the shop and places a bag of trash into the trashcan. From the garage, he hears the sound of powertools and Chaos swearing to himself. He considers going in to help him, but shrugs and goes back inside the restaurant.
  • In the trap house, Bling runs back into the living room, in an even bigger state of panic. He starts waving the gun around and threatening to fire it. In the process, he accidentally fires a shot in the air that temporarily deafens him. At that moment, Garfield, who has partially untied himself but is still bound, pounces on Bling and repeatedly headbutts him while they're both on the ground. While this is happening, Lex has shifted himself towards the gun that Bling dropped when he was attacked. He picks the gun up with his feet and points it at Bling, who puts his hands up and freezes.
  • Flashforward. A bruised Garfield and a shaken-up Lex stand victorious over Bling, who they've tied up themselves. After this whole ordeal, Bling recognizes Garfield and acts friendly towards him, asking to be untied. Lex and Garfield agree on the condition that they take his entire weed stash as "compensation." Bling reluctantly agrees.
  • Cut back to the ice cream van. Garfield and Lex joke with each other as they drive back home. Halfway through the journey, Garfield's phone rings. It's Stephanie. He asks Lex to drop him off downtown, telling him that he'll be back home later. Lex obliges.
  • Flashforward back to Stephanie and Garfield, who has just finished telling the story about what happened. Stephanie laughs and then laments that it's time for her to go. The two collect their bills, promise to meet up again, and go their separate ways.
  • Garfield comes back to the apartment, which has been returned to its immaculate condition. Lex greets him with a smile as he's on the couch and tells him to check his bedroom. Garfield curiously opens the door to his bedroom to find Chaos standing there in front of him, and all of his items neatly organized. Garfield is surprised at his, but even moreso as Chaos brings out a new axe-sword that he made out of wood to replace the old one. It's poorly constructed, but Garfield is so overwhelmed by the gesture that he hugs Chaos and thanks him as Chaos apologizes. The two make up.
  • Cut to Bling, who is being escorted down a dark alley at night by men in black suits. He is approached by Andre DuTempi, who asks him what happened to the money from his stash. A nervous Bling backs away and awkwardly tries to explain what happened. DuTempi nods to his two men who both pull out baseball bats. The camera pans upward as the episode ends.

Episode 6 - No Hall Like Town Hall

  • The episode opens with a Senate campaign ad for Xavier D'Arque. The ad shows the city of San Cristobal as a lawless crime-infested gutter, with displays of violence and drugs on the street. Shots of dilapidated buildings are shown as the narrator talks about how the city is unsafe. The screen cuts to a shot of the Lucky Sevens Casino with its bright lights and zooms inside to show Hector Bonifacio, leader of the Bonifacio Crime Family, living large. The narrator then explains how as District Attorney of San Cristobal, Xavier D'Arque took down the Bonifacio family, as Hector's mugshot appears on-screen. The screen cuts back to the same street from the beginning of the street, but as a lively Metropolis, full of children playing. The narrator explains that Xavier D'Arque can bring hope to the entire state, just as he brought back hope to the city. Xavier D'Arque appears onscreen to approve the message.
  • Zoom out to reveal that the ad is playing on the television, which Chaos is watching. He groans and turns the television off. He walks over to the dining room/kitchen, where Lex is reading the newspaper and Garfield is cooking breakfast. Lex remarks that the D'Arque Theatre is scheduled to re-open in a couple of months, which Chaos scoffs. When the mailman comes, Lex rushes to get the mail and comes back, feeling dejected because his comic books were bent when they were shoved through the letter box. Lex and Garfield engage in some light bickering as Chaos sorts through the mail and notices a bunch of utility bills.
  • As Chaos quizzes the two on the utility bills, we see a montage of Lex destroying past bills in creative ways. Cut back to Chaos' face. He reads them and reveals that Town Hall will shut off their power if they don't pay. Chaos decides that he will try and bargain with Town Hall to get them reduced. As he heads out, he realizes that he's out of cigarettes and has no money in his wallet, so he asks one of the two if they have $20. Garfield gives him a bill from his wallet.
  • Cut to Chaos walking downtown, where he stumbles upon a beggar playing hypnotic-sounding music from a small speaker. At first, he is cynical as the beggar asks for change. But as a sudden wave of goodwill flows through him, he gives him the $20 bill that he got from Garfield. He carries on with his journey as we cut back to Lex and Garfield in the apartment.
  • Lex and Garfield talk about Chaos for a short bit before Lex remarks on how bored he is. A short pause follows before the two pick up nearby cushions and start hitting each other with them. Cut to the hallway. Volkov walks by as he hears the commotion from within.
  • Cut back to Chaos, who triumphantly marches into Town Hall. Immediately, he trips on a piece of carpet and falls flat on his face, prompting the young receptionist to rush to his side to check on his wellbeing. As she helps him up, he looks at her and is instantly smitten by her appearance, turning into a nervous wreck. As he regains his composure in front of her, he asks her if he can see the mayor. • Cut back to the apartment. The living room has now been transformed into a LARPing battleground and Volkov is revealed to have joined Lex and Garfield.
  • Cut back to Town Hall. After a short period of waiting, the doors of the Mayor's office open, and Xavier D'Arque emerges with Stephanie, having just secured an "endorsement." Chaos catches Xavier's attention, and mistaking him for a fan, quickly and forcibly poses for a selfie with Chaos before giving him a badge. Chaos groans before entering the Mayor's office.
  • As Chaos enters, the Mayor is notably paranoid and shaken up. As Chaos explains the situation with the bills, the Mayor agrees to help him fix it. However, the Mayor's computer is old and decrepit, and as Chaos tries to fix it, the computer shuts down, unexpectedly. The Mayor then looks through an old filing cabinet and gives up, telling Chaos that he can just pay $20 to get the fees waived. Chaos scoffs and searches through his wallet for the $20 that Garfield gave him, but remembers that he gave it to the beggar. He runs out of the Mayor's office and rushes to the bank.
  • Chaos bursts through the doors of the bank, accidentally conjuring a massive thunderstorm within the building and causing the bank teller to panic and call the cops. The cops confront Chaos at gunpoint and force him onto the ground. A tense moment occurs until the police chief realizes that he's no threat and orders his men to stand down. They still take Chaos to the station, however.
  • Cut to the police station, where Lex and Garfield greet Chaos. They reveal that their utility fees, along with those of the entire city, have vanished. The three walk out in triumph.
  • Cut back to the beggar from earlier. Xavier and Stephanie come across him, with great curiosity.
