Bloombud (Rafflesia floravita)

The Bloombud are sapient, kindly creatures that live on a far-off island. They have a strange, community-based life similar to our own. On its head is a large, sweet-smelling flower that, when a Bloombud is agitated, can spit a strong, perfume-like substance that temporarily blinds attackers. Bloombud can be capable of speech, but only rudimentary language.
