In the year 2117, humanity has mostly wiped itself out, spurred on by an alien empire of gamblers and thrill-seekers known as the Rouless. Losing their favorite play-toy, the Rouless uses the powers of ALIEN SCIENCE to displace the six greatest groups of humanity from time: the 10th century Vikings, the original Polynesian settlers, the early Mayans, the 15th century Swiss, the early 19th century Nepalese, and the German Empire circa WWI. Tossed with their armies into resource-abundant parts of Earth, the Rouless expected them to fight to the death, having mass betting pools on the outcome. There would be blood and destruction, and it'd be oh so interesting. But they didn't realize one thing.

Dubbed the 'Kriegreiters' by the Germans, before that was dubbed as too on the nose, and later known collectively by the Coalition of Six as 'Star Mail' or SMs, these mechanized suits were outfitted to every starship, with at least one to each Gurkha squad. Outfitted with powerful weapons, flight capability, and modularity, the Coalition of Six were capable of using the Star Mail to blast back the Rouless, driving them out of the Milky Way Galaxy. Over three hundred centuries later, the Milky Way Galaxy has been colonized, at great cost: the Gurkhas vanished during the first approach into Andromeda, and soon after, the entire Nepalese government vanished. The Coalition of Six, now five, believe that the Rouless are getting revenge. So they'll revenge HARDER! With their wooden Viking starships, their German machines, and their Mayan architecture, they'll colonize the whole damn universe! Well, they would, if the enemy hadn't begun sending monsters of the week to attack the colonies and the military forces. And if there weren't rumors of giant mechanized beasts out in space. The Coalition needs something to stop them.
The year is currently 2312. Mankind had made great progress over the past three hundred years. The entire galaxy had been made easily accessible through the discovery of hyperspace gates, which allowed for quick and safe travel between planets. Because of this revolutionary discovery, mankind adapted, and they spread themselves all throughout the galaxy, colonizing the planets and allowing them to develop over time. Space travel had become a common method of transport, and the Milky Way Galaxy acted as humanity's beacon to the rest of the Universe.

It turned out that humanity wasn't alone in the universe. The first contact between human and extraterrestrial life took place on September 8, 2166, when a Devaian survey ship, having detected high levels of life energy in the Milky Way, touched down in Romulus, Mars, where they met with the ambassador, George Roddenbury. This event is generally referred to as the defining moment in Human history, eventually paving the way for a partnership between the two races. This moment gave the human race a sense of ambition that they had never felt before in their lives, and they pushed forward with the help of the Devaians, until they were able to establish contact with other galaxies. This event allowed for the creation of the "United Galactic Federation".

# You're only allowed to control up to 3 characters at a time. Not that we don't trust you, but it's easier for everyone to moderate both yourself and others if we can assuredly keep track over who controls whom. Plot

Setting

When you take the scariest humans in history and put them together, you need to have insurance that they won't decide to go after you instead.

As the six groups met, they decided to ally instead of war, with the help of translators among the Germans. Realizing quickly that their enemy was extraterrestrial, they combined their resources. The vikings made powerful wooden ships, capable of surviving anything thrown at them. The Polynesians made tools capable of navigating any sea...even space sea, as well as the tools they'd need to get up there. The Swiss helped smooth over the alliance, using their honeyed words and expertise in diplomacy. The Mayans started plans for vast cities and settlements, for when they had found new lands. The Nepalese prepared for battle, preparing the Gurkhas to battle the intergalactic threat. And the Germans made the most important discovery in the history of war.

Mechanized war vehicles.
