Wow, great banner! :D Lex 21:57, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. The Windows 7 version of paint is much better for making presentable banners than the XP version on my old laptop.--Kirbychu 22:03, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Hey, speaking of the banner, what happened to it? MeTK2lK.pngrEqWIWX.png 20:41, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Apparently I need to find a new image hosting site, because the wiki I made to hold images seems to be gone.--Kirbychu 23:26, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Chapters

I don't like feeling like I'm doing everything in this story, so I'm only making up the first few chapters, and they will only detail the events that have been stated to occur in my plot summary.

  • Prologue - Seph debates disbanding the crew, holds a meeting telling his plans, drops the crew off on a new home planet, and then takes the ship to a galactic starship graveyard. He then tells the bots they will be de-activated, connects them dirsctly to the ship with "stasis cables" and shuts everything down.
  • Chapter 1 - Seph returns to the ship, looks around, gets to the cockpit, and accidentally re-starts the ship, and the robots with it.
  • Chapter 2 - Seph escaped the cockpit and is chased around the ruined ship by the 3 bots. He eventaully falls through some brittle floors into the ship's pub.
  • Chapter 3 - The bots search the ship for Seph, while Seph spends time trying to gather resources. Badstar's "pipe conversation" will probably be used here.
  • Chapter 4 - The bots descover and activate the "ship restoration" button. Seph is nearly crushed by falling roof and ceiling pieces. The bots begin using the ship's security system to trach Seph.

All events described can and probably will be altered. All following chapters and events will be devised by the group (specifically Me, Lex and Badstar) as a whole.--Kirbychu 22:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

I've got an idea though.. Seeing as you mentioned SETH-1-RO7H.. He could be the leader, revealed in the last act, right? Lex 22:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm assuming that you mean that SETH was masterminding everything the bots were doing, and Seph will eventually get all the bots on his side. Then SETH reveals himself as the one causing the bots to be so intent on murder, and then SETH and Seph have a final battle. Is this correct?--Kirbychu 23:31, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
...Pretty much. :D Lex 08:02, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
I like that idea.--Kirbychu 14:16, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Also, I've even got an explanation on how SETH came back in the first place after being destroyed.

When Chaos created SETH-1-RO7H, he didn't entirely create him from scratch. Instead, he used one of his old blueprints for his design. The blueprint was of a strategic war bot designed to repair itself and adapt to its environment. It is revealed to Seph that when SETH got destroyed in the episode he appeared in, he eventually repaired himself, also using the new technology from the motorcycle used to destroy him. It is also revealed that through the years that he took refuge in the ship, he managed to take the pieces of other spare robots from the crew who were de-activated before the other three robots, examples being R@1KU, Foxx, GIM2-B4RD, and he used the parts to upgrade himself even further. Lex 14:58, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Ooh, this is way better than my original plan for him!--Kirbychu 15:12, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
What was your plan? Maybe we could incorporate elements of both? Lex 15:19, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

My plan was that the bots would eventually launch the ship, realize they don't know how to drive the ship, find SETH's remains, re-build him and get him to act as captain while they look for Seph. Then Seph would eventually have a fight with SETH, in the cockpit while the bots are away and destroy him so they have to land the ship somewhere.--Kirbychu 15:23, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Hmm.. That's a pretty good idea too. Lex 15:27, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
I like yours a lot better. And I kinda want to get as many ideas from others as I can, considering how much I already made up by myself.--Kirbychu 15:29, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Alright.. And we need at least 1 reference to Space Odyssey. Lex 15:49, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

You reffering to 2001: A Space Odyssey?--Kirbychu 16:08, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Yep! :D Lex 17:35, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
I've honestly never seen it. All I know about it is that there's a murderous computer named HAL in it, and that they lied and I still don't have a robotic sidekick and my own space ship when it's already 2010.

So..

This has been in development hell long enough, and I think it would be a great idea to start it now. But of course, perhaps we could discuss the premise of this somewhat beforehand? Because I was thinking of a couple of small ideas that could work pretty well with this. Lex 22:25, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

I came up with a couple of story elements that we could use for this. What do you think of them?
  • Sephiroth is 66 years old when this takes place.
  • The first episode after the prologue has Chaos (somehow retaining the majority of his youth, unlike Sephiroth who is now completely gray, and also running his own private clinic) diagnosing Sephiroth with a terminal condition, telling him that he doesn't have much longer to live, and that he could actually die at any given moment.
  • After the diagnosis, Sephiroth decides to write his memoirs, which serve as narration for the story.
  • Sephiroth was 26 years old at the end of the original SAS series. It is revealed that over the forty year timeskip, Sephiroth eventually went on to get married and have a daughter with his wife, who in turn had a child herself, at 25 years old.
  • Sephiroth's relationship with his (ex)wife and his daughter is terrible. In fact, he left them ten years into his relationship, and he hasn't seen them ever since. As such, he is unaware of his granddaughter's existence.
  • After completing some rather menial tasks on his bucket list, (beating Chaos in a drinking contest being one of them) Sephiroth decides to give the ship one last visit, as a way of reminiscing about the past and honoring his past crew members who had died beforehand.
  • When inside of the decrepit ship, there is a scene where Sephiroth pays tribute to the deactivated robots, unaware that they are half-awake (due to being switched on by SETH-1-RO7H, who now controls the ship's computer), and are aware of his presence.
  • Throughout the tour of the ship before he accidentally activates it, Sephiroth has feelings of suspicion, like he's being watched, but he chalks this down to his failing health and his mind playing tricks on him. Completely unaware that SETH-1-RO7H has been watching him the whole time through the ship's computers, doing so through some HAL-2000 style monitoring system.
  • During the final battle where Seph is fighting his robotic counterpart and failing completely, the robots (who have now returned to their senses) step in and perform the ultimate sacrifice somehow, taking SETH-1-RO7H with them as they permanantly say goodbye to their former captain.
  • Final chapter is the aftermath of the situation and the last days of Sephiroth's life, where he reconiciles with his family after 20 years and also has some deep spiritual conversation with Chaos, with all these encounters acting as his last goodbye to his friends and family.
  • At the very end, Sephiroth has finished writing his memoirs, in turn, ending the narration altogether. He gets up from his desk, and sits at his favourite chair while seeing the two suns set from out of his window. He smiles to himself, reflecting on the last moment of his life, and that's when it finally happens. His heart stops. He closes his eyes and dies peacefully and quietly, content that he was able to patch up the last moments of his life.

Because I'm thinking. If this is to act as the final ending to Space-Aged Stupidity, what better to do than to have the captain die at the very end?
