Lotta graduated from the Eyjafjörður College of Sorcery and Conjuration as an honor student and earned a place in the school's Hall of Fame. Shortly after graduation, she fell under the tutelage of Cicero Abraxas.

Lotta and Cicero's tutorship eventually blossomed into romance. While the relationship was accepted by most, it attracted criticism from some who criticized the relationship due to the fact that Cicero was forty years her senior.
