New page

Chooms? [[User:Noxigar|Noxigar]] 03:19, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

This is a downright atrocity. I'm going to go ahead and list all the things that are wrong with this.
*You're basically taking what someone likes and saying "THIS IS S**T BLAH BLAH BLAH WHAT I LIKE IS BETTER HURR DERP DERP" and that'll only depress them. In no way would it possibly justify your point of view in their minds.
*People have hobbies. I doubt anyone is THAT obsessed with Japanese culture, and if they are, then why not let them be? Is it causing you some sort of psychological harm for them to be obsessed with it? No. So don't cause them any.
*As you're describing it, it's an addiction. You're basically saying to take away all that they are addicted to and replace it. Compare this to a cocaine addict who has an entire room filled with cocaine. You'd be taking it away and replacing it with sugar.
*"Steal their iPods and all their Japanese stuff, and if you can delete the stuff off their harddrive. Replace their JRock or JPop with stuff that's not Country or anything. No, go with the most American of all genres: Rock and Roll." conflicts with "Don't be arrogant about it, and don't choose the most "AMERICA HECK YEAH" media you can." That "solution" is pretty much definitive of being arrogant.
Put simply, this is not the way to deal with someone that has this "problem", and really I don't see this as any better than racism, gay-bashing, or hating furries (which, by the way, are all really on the same level, considering they're all discrimination). {{User:Clover/piggy}} 03:29, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
