The Story
Somebody has stolen them.
In the strange, otherworldly Brightside Kingdom, the villagers are in a panic. King Brightside is especially worried. A strange entity, known only as Masquerade, has stolen the Megamoon Gem that oversees all of Brightside, turning it into a state of eternal darkness. Many of the villagers ran away and deserted the poor Kingdom, leaving only the king and his royal staff. They're certain that somebody will come to the rescue as they wait in the shadow of the evil Masker Empire...
So where do the two heroes factor into this, you ask?
